I like Bachalo's art but it clearly doesn't suit for a so-called "dark" book.

The Dark moniker is pure speculation, we don't know what type of theme this book will have, but I disagree, Bachalo can draw some pretty damn creepy stuff and larger than life stuff. Honestly with him I do feel like we get more story than from any other artist with how much he can put in one page. I get that his style is not for everyone, but I really think he could compliment Bendis's style of writing well. Originally Posted by airdreams

Wow it really looks creepy. Kinda hope he can draw things like that in the Uncanny book lol.One way was a hyper-idealistic team. The other was an extremely dark one. Oddly, that's exactly what Brian [Michael Bendis] is doing -- and, in fact, both routes at once
Gillen hinted a "dark" team by Bendis, but yea, the theme of this book probably won't be dark…In dog days, all we need is Frost.

it could go dark. Either way, it could all very well be so much fun, this actually has me excited.

I'm very excited about this. I just hope it's what we think it is! I have some issues with the Bachalo choice-- but I know he'll be on time! Unlike the other "Uncanny" book that's out now...

"Dark" as in their status and character not so much theme
As "Dark" X-Men goes.....
I think this is the books that was hinted at NYCC that focuses on the P5 ramifications/consequences and those who liked what they did.

Wow! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is the book Emma will appear in! I know Bachalo's art is a little cartoony for different themes, but I make sure to get any book he illustrates. Love the way he does Emma.
And yes, She definitely needs a new costume. That cape is beyond out of style.

Bendis wrote a GREAT Emma Frost in House of M. As with all Bendis things, IF he cares and IF he puts more than base level effort in it can be great. His Dark Avengers was excellent, despite treading boring waters with New Avengers at the very same time. So maybe this could be awesome (ala Dark Avengers) or it might just be lazy work (ala Avengers). We shall see... I'm nervous but hopeful. Originally Posted by airdreams
