    Default REVIEW: Legion of Super-Heroes

Paul Levitz and Scott Kolins serve up a direct sequel to last year's "Legion: Secret Origin" with "Legion of Super-Heroes" #0 with the new story of how Brainiac 5 finally joined the Legion.

Levitz could have done an issue 0 of any Legionnaire but he picked Brainiac 5. I also notice the inordinate amount of pages devoted to Brainy in the regular Legion series. Hmmm....

From a marketing standpoint it was a weird choice. I doubt that Brainy is the most popular Legionnaire.
After Thom was a member of the JSA while they were DC's 2nd best selling ongoing book under Johns/Eaglesham, it might have been a good idea to give us a Starboy/Dream Girl issue. That platinum blonde on the cover could have sold a few extra issues.
    My blog.

We struggled against apartheid in South Africa, supported by people the world over, because black people were being blamed and made to suffer for something we could do nothing about; our very skins. It is the same with sexual orientation. It is a given.
