Who writes these? Why would anyone want to have their faces punched clean off?CAPTAIN AMERICA AND BLACK WIDOW #640
CULLEN BUNN (W)

• FINALE ISSUE! GET READY TO HAVE YOUR FACES PUNCHED CLEAN OFF!
Why stop there?
Why not promise that "THIS ISSUE WILL RAPE YOUR WIFE AND SH#* DOWN YOUR KIDS' MOUTHES"?
At least it will be easy to remember the classic number this time. New #1 will be #701.
I'm not obsessed with the numbering of comics, but I'd really rather not have ASM start over at #1. Can't we keep those long running ones going? And if it's still called "Amazing Spider-Man," does that mean when issue #100 comes around, they'll switch back to the old numbering system with #800, like they did with Volume 2?
Whatever the case, Slott better stay on Spidey!
<insert awesome quote here>
We all knew ASM would get relaunched. What I want to know is who's writing it. I'm at a loss:
It could be Bendis. He's only on ANXM and UCSM right now, so it's entirely feasible he could pick up a new book (He was on three previously).
Slott has yet to be announced on anything else yet. He could always be moved to something new that they've held off on announcing to avoid tipping their hand, but who knows, really?
It does look like Slott is wrapping up most of his dangling threads right now, so the idea he's winding down is feasible, but the fact he's got nothing else on his plate right now leads me to believe otherwise.
In either case, hopefully we get news one way or the other soon; I really want to see Slott stick with the title.
i hate the renumbering of titles like this. they will likely switch back to legacy numbering around 50, so 750, kind of like when they rebooted ASM the first time...i understand "new" readers have a sense of newness with a new number 1, but in many cases its not a restart of the character per se, so then they renumber back to legacy numbers and then the new reader and old readers can get confused as to which issue they need to find in the back issue boxes. but i guess the re-numbering isnt for the "collectors" and readers, just the readers.

Marvel: ASM, Deadpool, Thor, Iron Man, etc
DC: Batman and related, Green Lantern, The Flash, etc
Omnibus wishlist: Classic Deadpool, Pak Hulk, Spider-Man 2099
Bleeding Cool has been reporting that Wolverine will be written and drawn by Frank Cho.
In war the elders may give the orders, but it's the young who have to fight.
I hate renumbering and I really would hate it if Slott leaves. Best Spidey writer in over a decade.
Yeah no surprise here at all. Is Journey Into Mystery also getting the ax/relaunch or is it keeping it's original number? I wonder which title will have the highest number after all this marvel Now stuff is finalized. X-Factor?
Schmitty's Evil Twin.
Looks like JIM's keeping it's numbers. #647 comes out in Dec.
Schmitty's Evil Twin.
Im fine with it, hopefully Slott stays on the book.
I figured Amazing Spider-man would be ending. Not surprised in that regards.
