Max has said repeatedly said on twitter that it's NOT a super-hero show in any way.
Still, looks like a great idea.
Schmitty's Evil Twin.
Is anyone else irritated by this Landis guy?

another Powers rip-off?
Yawn.Called "Vigilant," the drama is described as a superhero origin story told from the unlikely perspective of "a smart 20-year-old woman who happens to be a social outcast."

Not sure what there is to be irritated by? His success?
And from the concept described in that article I don't see how it could remotely be considered a POWERS rip off. There's nothing to indicate there's superpowers of any kind involved, and how the police deal with actual superpowered heroes and villains is the real basis of POWERS. You know...cuz of the 'powers'.
My favorite character can beat up your favorite character.
Loser.
Raises hand. He's nothing like his father that is for sure.
Max's personality just rubs me the wrong way, and worse, everything I've seen I've been very unimpressed by.
I am a fan of his father and was pretty excited when I first heard about Max, but his material isn't my thing. And that arrogant persona doesn't help.

Wake me up when it's over...
I thought his Death of Superman video was hilarious. Chronicle was interesting, but I wasn't wowed.
That The Death and Return of Superman video was pretty funny. Is that why some comics fans are irritated by him?
