What comic characters did you secretly fancy growing up?

I grew up with the hot pants version of Kara, so that would be my favorite version of her. Yet, I have to admit I was also smitten with Mooney's version from reprinted stories I owned. Same goes for Mary Marvel from the '40s and '50s.

Vampirella? First saw her in 1977. Never saw a woman dressed or built like that in any of my DC and Marvel comics, that's for sure.

The hot pants outfit was my favorite Supergirl costume; when I decided to get a Supergirl tattoo, that was the look I chose. (Haven't gotten it done yet.) But I related to the younger version more.

The first Vampirella story I read was "And Be a Bride of Chaos" the last Archie Goodwin and still the best Vampirella story ever, for me. So when I talk about my first exposure to the character, I don't mean just the obvious visual appeal of the character.
