Given that the protagonists of said films tend to be mopey and largely nonviolent, the water baloonists would technically be the villians... Which is still a better story. The Vampires overcome their bullies and in the process man up, stop being angsty teens and learn to get on with and appreciate their unlives.
Starts as a typical angsty romance with Vampires, but swiftly develops into a quirky coming of age comedy. With Vampires.

On your quest to retrieve the Orb of Decimation you come across a mighty river inhabited by Abyssal Linnorms and Styx Dragons.
The only bridge across has an Exsanguination Station, that is to say a toll point run by Vampires, who have been granted a permit to operate by the King in exchange for their services keeping the bridge free of Hellwyrms.
What do you do?

They're Vampires, acting within the Law. As long as they aren't killing random people or anything, I don't see a problem with paying any tolls (of money) they want.

Ah. The fanservice I just...gloss over. Don't care for it, just keep on going to more interesting bits.
Kinda like her face myself. Her clothes tend to look ridiculous though, and not even in an awesome way.
General superiority over most disciples makes sense to me personally. She's grown up in the martial arts world surrounded by masters of insane caliber, including being raised by the single strongest martial artist ever. Frankly, if anything it'd make sense if she was more skilled, but she's kept at a certain power level to make her good for alternatively saving Kenichi or getting surprise-beat down to show how strong the antagonists are.
Siegfried's training scenes in Tibet had me in stitches.
Akisame's my personal favourite master. Cemented with 'EVEN WITH THIS MUCH DONE TO HIM THE RECIPIENT IS IN NO DANGER OF DYING!!'.
Nothing is more entertaining than Nijima on the run.

I was thinking more along the lines of sodium and water.
You have nukes for big stuff like that. Or cheap pyrokinetic thugs.Plus, try setting fire to a tomb or a creepy old castle or mansion with water.
Well that could be one type of story. Another would be a messy slaughter.
Which sounds more like the premise of a game actually. Come to think of it, with all the people who dislike emo teen vampire, it's surprising none of them made a video game where you kill emo vampires.
A novel idea. Another one that I don't think has been done. Maybe because centuries old vampires coming of age strikes people as funny.Starts as a typical angsty romance with Vampires, but swiftly develops into a quirky coming of age comedy. With Vampires.
Since I'm not 100% certain of the capabilities of any of the above creatures, I probably fly across the river. I almost always keep a few levitation spells handy.
Of course, I can give them my blood as well. It's easily replenishable, and not really worth much. I might actually be getting the better deal there.

Styx Dragons are an actual D&D monster, being one of the various forms of Dragon who have evolved to live in the afterlife.
Basically think a huge brown serpent with a green dorsal frill, two small arms, wings that have adapted into swimming appendages and a forked tail ending in barbed spines. Spits gouts of acid made from the memory draining watersof the River Styx.
