Munch has pointed out that you can get a few extra levels on top by casting Spiritual Existence before casting Create Being, assuming you have enough INT to boost Create Being to that extent.

*shrug* If you don't you could always do what I'm planning on doing to make Chimera not be a month-long ritual.

Get someone else to shoulder the burden of some of those levels. How? With the Handy-dandy Reinforce Magice spell.

You cast whatever level of Added Effects you can, then for a mere 100 Zeon extra someone else can add another one! BUT WAIT!! THERE'S MORE!! For each Added Effect THEY cast on their Reinforce Magic spell, they can add one Added Effect to the spell the Reinfoce Magic spell is Reinforcing!! By merely Doubling the eon to a trifling 200, they can add 10 Extra Added effects IN ADDITION to the one already Pledged!! Call now Opperators are standing by!!


But seriously you'd hit the other caps LONG before you ran out of juice that way.

Also, your plan doesn't have the inherent problem that Munch's plan does, of trying to use Eternal Magic (max Path Level 80) on Ascension / Dark Ascension (Path Level 98).

That was to get a Gnosis of 40. Seriel's plan will only get him a Gnosis of 25, the same as a Chimera. It just gets him a buttload of LEVELS.

Well, other than the fact that you probably couldn't maintain the Ascension (since you can't make it Eternal Magic), there's nothing to stop you using the rest of your plan to get to Gnosis 40 and giving yourself another 3 levels worth of Gnosis-dependant DP plus other esoteric weirdness like Immortality, Auspice, Avatars etc.

(Assuming Uriel would be happy with you taking your finally-free Spiritual Essence and trapping it in a new body, which I'd be iffy about.)

If you have the stats to ascend, you've got the stats to cast Eternal Magic.

EDIT and giving yourself 40 Gnosis wouldn't help Siriel's plan at all, as the monster's body would still be Gnosis 25 when you made it, and you lose the powers you bought in the Spiritual Essence when you put your soul in a new body. And as you'll never Level up again, there's no DP with which to by Gnosis 40 monster tricks (aside from what hitting Gnosis 40 gives you).

And since you've got Auspice, you never fail an uncontested Secondary check. Not that you NEED Secondaries at that stage - you have minions to do most of that stuff for you.

NOW who read it?? Auspice doesn't allow you to automatically pass Inhuman checks or higher.

but the one thing it doesn't work on? My Book of All Knowledge EVER does. Or Nobility. That works for Opposed rolls.

If you're going for Divine Magic from a Node, anything less than an 18 Power and you're taking your life in your own hands buddy.

I'd go with the "master of Dreams" bit into an Ascention if you were strictly Int boosting. Pefereably AFTER getting on uriel's good side, so even if you Gnosis DOES drop when you leave the wake it's still over 40.

But meh. Just force your minions to finish the job for you.

Yeah, the Divine magic with "Normal-ish" Power is very, very dangerous. I won't argue that point.
