Why can't it have both flavor and overwhelming heat? I know it can be done, as I've been defeated (a low showing for me to be sure, but still) by an example before.

Also, I wish I had a place to grow peppers like that.

They did, as a military unit. It's just that 17th century France, in general, was totally bananas about personal dueling. There are parts in the later half of The Three Musketeers where they go to war and actually use firearms, but the parts everyone remembers are the duels.

That's where the word comes from, but Wikipedia tells me that at the time, the word refered to a social and political attitude, as well as a style of dress. So, kind in the sense of "being a cavalier chap", so to speak.

If you really look into the mechanics of it, G1 Mewtwo is absurdly badass from a mechanical standpoint.

Yep. Heck, even weaker pokemon like Kadabra were completely ridiculous compared to their later generation counterparts.

On the other hand, stuff like Gyarados remaining water/flying (despite learning no flying type moves) persist till date, because the developers didn't want to mess around with the tenuous balance they created.

Also, can you imagine the havok that'd wreak on search engines?

Search engines would be designed very differently in the first place, but yeah.

Though really, there's no way to generate actual matches in a language whose grammar seems to be at least partially made up by whosoever is using it. So...search engines become much less useful and Google doesn't make nearly as much money, I guess?
