Yeah, that does remind me of Starfire somewhat.

    Well, I tried.

I mulled over the logistics in my head, and unfortunately I couldn't find any reliable or consistent images of East Coast Aboriginal warriors. I did what I could on a template of Muromachi-era armour.
Pretty cool: More elaborate than I expected you to go for, but that's hardly a flaw.

I like how you've taken the overall design of a set of Japanese armour and made each individual component look Native American.

The only references I can find to Dormy doing anything particularly recently are empowering the Hood, telling the new Sorcerer Supreme that he's not even worthy of his attention and attending an interdimensional council in a few panels of Mephisto's one issue storyline set during Fear Itself.

    The problem is, they can't.

    1) Everyone on site is in the same situation. They've got to put together a handover plan to transfer everything to the other site, and for 200+ people's work, that's a lot of planning.

    2) Some people may choose to transfer to the other site. It's a big relocation, and I don't actually know anyone that wants to do it, but that doesn't mean that nobody will. Also, some people who have said they're not going to might change their minds between now and then, and they have to be given that option as part of the consultation process. So they don't yet know what they NEED to transfer, in order to plan for it.

    3) Replacing the 205 jobs here, there will be 70 jobs created at the other site. They need to plan to fill those roles as much as possible before people leave, so that where possible there's somebody in situ to handover to. Or at least make people available from other roles as a stop-gap until they've permanently filled the positions. BTW - 70 jobs? Laughable. Like I said earlier, we're already the most profitable site in the company. With the inefficiencies elsewhere, they'd struggle to fulfill the contracts even if they did a like-for-like with 205 jobs down South. With 70? They're going to screw the pooch SO badly.

    4) Under UK Law, they have to go through a consultation process, so at the moment it's technically only a PROPOSED site closure. It's a formality, but they have to go through that. Until the consultation process is completed (or at least concluding, as they get to the Appeal phase), they can't do anything that confirms the closure (like creating the new jobs, giving people release dates etc) as that would be seen as prejudicing the consultation process. In which case they could be liable to a massive, unilateral unfair dismissal claim in the courts.

So they're a bit screwed as well.

(Not that I'm exactly breaking out the violins for them, you understand.)
Yes, I know the voices aren't real. But they do have some VERY good ideas....

    ...well that...sucks.

    Seriously. :\

Also, has it not even occurred to anyone in charge how badly they're about to mess up anyway, if they shift everything over there?

This cold is making me amazingly tired pretty much all the time.

Also, I had a dream that I went to Canada to visit the Israeli West Bank barrier, because my subconscious doesn't understand geography. When I got there I realized I'd forgotten to tell Sharp and Siriel I was visiting.

    It's not, really.

I just wanted to say "Not if we finish it first!" all dramatically and everything.

No. You see, I have my Kindle primed to download it automatically the moment it is released.
