I find i prefer the 2nd edition description of demiliches better than the 3rd edition one.
The demilich is not, as the name implies, a weaker form of the lich. Rather, it is the stage into which a lich will eventually evolve as the power which has sustained its physical form gradually begins to fail. In most cases, all that remains of a demilich's body are a skull, some bones, and a pile of dust.
When it has learned all that it feels it can in its undead life, the lich will continue its quest for power in strange planes unknown to even the wisest of sages. Since it has no use for its physical body at this point, the lich leaves it to decay as it should have done centuries ago.
Yeah I give up. They would need like a bajillion UNs to take it out. And they would all have to work.
I don't believe in Russians. Their a story the US government created to scare people.

I decided to remake an old OC, Varrix the demon, into a multidemon fusion that based on what release state his seals are in can take on 5 different forms each with their own abilites. Problem is now i suddenly have to make 20 minor characters instead of 1. Starting to rethink this decision.

Oh, fuck, he's found us out! Quick! Save the Vodka!
It's a neat concept, actually, but why does it require 20 times the characters?I decided to remake an old OC, Varrix the demon, into a multidemon fusion that based on what release state his seals are in can take on 5 different forms each with their own abilites. It's a lie! My pants were off the entire time!
That can't be right: Why else would they have built Liberty Prime to destroy communists detected on American Soil?
So he's half Naruto, half Yozi?- Subject Shift -

He has 5 release states and each but the 5th has 5 different forms Robert can choose from when he releases Varrix into that state. The first is weapon forms, then lesser demon, then intermediate demon, then greater demon, then Lord Varrix The Demon Horde. It's a neat concept, actually, but why does it require 20 times the characters?
Don't read enough exalted to be familar with Yozi. Though the Naruto part isn't far off as Varrix is bound to Robert the demon summoner(he's Robert's soul now). The best comparison is part Ben 10, part Alucard, part Naruto. Though his 1st release state is a weapon mode so it doesn't 100% fit.

The notable thing about Yozis is that they have one defining or "Fetich" Soul, a minimum of eleven other Third Circle Demons who represent different aspects of their personality, and each Third Circle has in turn seven Second Circle Souls who also act as independent Demons.
...Of course that's where the resemblance to your concept ends, as each of these souls exists outside of the main body (called a Jouten), which is generated by their combined will and will be forced to change if one of them dies.
But still, they're multiple demons that form parts of a greater entity's psyche, which ties into the fact that you were complaining about having to define a large number of characters in order to fully show the combined character.
As for First Circle Demons: They're slave races spawned by the Second Circles to perform specific purposes, and have no impact on the Yozi as a whole.
