    Ah. Right.

Well in that case, yeah, Corim's gonna find it veeeeeery difficult to break that.

He CAN'T break in with normal rules, and with PE rules he's got to roll a 10, and you'd have to roll a 1.

Oh good. Ditto. I think it's ridiculous, particularly as there's apparently (according to those who have it in Spanish) absolutely nothing that downgrades Dumah accordingly.

Get yourself Strength 12 or something by Level 2 and you'd be shattering artifacts left, right and centre.

Assume they're about level with you in ability. You attack.

If you hit.... you have to beat their defence by about 30 points to do ANY damage, even with the reduced AT. Which is actually pretty tricky, with comparable skill.
    Can you not Break Armor?

But if they BLOCK..... you break their weapon. And unless they have a back-up Unarmed Combat module, from then on they are at a -60 penalty in both Attack and Block (if they've chosen Block as their defence route) against you, or against anyone else. Suddenly you can eat them for breakfast, aided by the -2AT when you attack.
Or they pull out a back up weapon.

Seriously. Only non-fighters and Martial Artists don't bring along more than one weapon. Heck TARAN'S an non-fighter and I think I've said he has like a dozen.

Makes it easier to blow up Evil Rings.

On the downside it means MY stuff is more breakable.

Barring the use of silly dumb rules where things are made of wet paper, breaking armor is pretty damn hard.

No, he doesn't. Aside from daggers, weapons cost a lot in Anima. And you haven't even listed Taran's gear anywhere as far as I can see.

Ah but why are you assuming comparable skill? If you can afford Advanced Kempo to get Base Dumah, you should be at least 15 points of Attack ahead of non MA users. More depending on your build.

Unless you have battoujutsu, pulling out an additional weapon puts you at -25 attack, -25 block and -25 to any physical action.

Depends on your level. The other classes get Level bonuses that Tao don't.

Well yeah, that's why you need lots of strength and Advanced Dumah.

No, he doesn't. Aside from daggers, weapons cost a lot in Anima. And you haven't even listed Taran's gear anywhere as far as I can see.
    That's why he uses Daggers.

And I was referring to the scene where Taran threw enough knives into a tree to "make a smiley face" and then hit it between the eyes with a last knife. I don't know if I specified how many that was, but I'mm pretty sure it would be a lot. (EDIT: I only said "a bunch of knives", so yeah a dozen may be something that wasn't specifically said.)

    Better than -60 for nothing.

I don't know. If we play long enough, Ardy may get there.

Well WE'RE not, but the concept still works if you want to go with someone else's game.

One where posters post frequently and actually advance the plot.

Nah. IIRC, Siriel (please correct me if I'm wrong) has said he doesn't want to GM at high-levels. Most combatty types (*sigh* Solomon excluded) hit 200 at about Level 7. You go up about 10-15 points a level in Attack and Defend when you've exhausted your Class Bonuses. Even if we say 15 points, that's more than 5 levels past Mastery.

I'm thinking that getting past Level 12 is HIGHLY unlikely. We're only just at Level 2!
