So I wonder if all the people who were popping an artery after the second episode about how the show was crap because the inability to restore power after the initial outage didn't make sense and scoffed at the revolutionary (so to speak) notion of letting the story actually play out have actually gained any insight.

Are you asking if people that quit watching during this shows dumb & badly executed first season are watching the second season?

Actually it is still the 1st season & I guess It's so bad that it actually got renewed for a 2nd season.

& every episode since it started again has been really good.

It could be that being in fifth place (behind Univision) they are sticking with what is a moderate hit (for them anyway) rather than risking a lot of money on something new given their track record. And they probably have nothing very promising in the wings what with show creators probably taking their series everywhere else except NBC unless it's a last resort.

Oh, I didn't know that. What did they do, take a four month break off? That kind of thing isn't normal. Were they retooling the show? That couldn't have been good for the ratings either.

Not following the series anymore since episode 3 or so.
Watched an episode last week.
Still mediocre.
