At the same time, I am sad because it is the last The Shade book of this mega story, and also happy to near read such high quality comic book.

all along this maxi, the story(/ies) was(/were) incredible, with the arts corresponding at each part of this long tale.

I hope that DC Comics will continue in that way of producing excellent maxi which can be interpreted as a short ongoing one but with a so high quality grade.

A vertigo's title without being a Vertigo's title, a DCnU's title without being a DCnU's title, On this title, DC Comics AND Vertigo were really On The Edge!!!!
Thanks a lot to all the team behind this so huge story!!!!
    2000 AD of course!!!

Excellent from start to finish. As much as I'm enjoying Earth 2, I wish Robinson was doing a Shade/Starman-centric ongoing. And that people would seriously open up and at least try this kind of book, deserves to have way higher sales than it does.

Man, this maxi-series was incredible. I hope we see more of him (Justice League Dark, maybe?)

Not sure about ongoing. Simply because for me a large part of Jack Knight's character is tied into the fact that he is the sort of guy who's happy to do what really needed doing,, then pass the baton on, and retire.

But, I would like to see one last Jack Knight adventure: the one that we were sort of promised at the end of the run:-
Charity: There may be one last time.
    Jack: Why? For Opal?
Charity: Not Opal. Your Father. His Memory..

Strikes me as.. apart from anything else... as a good excuse.... to see Jack in the red, green, and gold for the first and last time.

What a fantastic finish to a fantastic series. The appearance of Culp again, the Dickens tie in... man, so good. Robinson has really come back to form with the series and Earth2, I can't wait to see another series from him and hopefully more Dickie Swift.

Loved it as well. Wonderfully written and exquisitely drawn. But if this is the last issue, why does it say "Part 1" on the title page?

All of the "Times Past" issues were told as an arc, in backwards chronological order.

    Family Ties, Part 1: Issue #12, 1838
    Family Ties, Part 2: Issue #8, 1901
    Family Ties, Part 3: Issue #4, 1944
