Good review. Although 2 stars sounds about 2 stars too many.
"The repercussions of this character death should be huge, and with only one issue left it makes me suspect that said repercussions will happen in another comic entirely."
Five issues of "Consequences" written by Gillen, post AvX...at 3.99 per issue, I will be literally LOLing at the suckers who buy into it. (as I have been at those who bought the main issues, tie-ins and VS books).

Avengers Arena is one of the best books in the shops right now, it's seriously amazing.

I am not disputing that. Granted, he's not my cuppa....but he is a good writer, I'll give him that.
Wot I find "laughable" is the fact that you need a five-issue "consequences/aftermath" story...for an event that spanned six-issues plus extraneous tie-ins where-in apparently, nothing of vast import occurred...judging by the above review.
But...I did not read it...just the "spoilers" so...

CBR giving a poor review to a big Marvel crossover? Heck, if that doesn't indicate that the event sucked to Marvel, nothing will.
That's right! Al Gore invented the internet, let's all go kick his ass!
I got your inconvenient truth right here, motherf*&¨%!

Good review. I think two stars is pretty much all this comic deserves. Aside from the great art and seeing Cyclops finally attack Emma Frost, there's nothing too remarkable about this. We all knew Xavier wouldn't make it out. This is one instance where Marvel does something that makes way too much sense. But is Cyclops really the antagonist here? If I recall, the Avengers launched the first attack. They're the ones that set this stuff into motion. And the complete and utter marginalization of Hope only leads me to hate her even more as this blatant plot device that has been utterly forgotten. I would have preferred she die, but I hope she has at least some role in the final issue. Otherwise, she'll be even more useless than she was before.

Well he is the antagonist here but I agree that this is the Avengers fault. They kept attacking and pushing him and in the end he could t take any more and has finally lost control.
They are the reason spoilers:end of spoilers
he became Dark Phoenix
with the issue itself I would personally had given it 3-4 stars
In the middle of the night...
It was pretty dull.
