I guess it's no secret that we've decided we want the Superman family books to outsell the Bat books and the Spider books and the X-books and every other bunch of books!
Well, you can't say they aren't ambitious.

But yeah, interesting stuff--I'm definitely curious to see where this goes with Legion Lost at least.

Tom Defalco sounds like he has a plan for the books. I can't wait to see how it turns out

As much of a DeFalco fan from the 80's and 90's, I have not enjoyed his DC stuff at all. :(

I'm not big on multi-title crossovers, but I would like to see Superboy, Supergirl and Superman interacting.

Hmm.. I want to be optimistic about the Legion Lost crossover but then I think back to the culling. :(

That's the funny thing--I've enjoyed his stuff in DC now, but when I tried to get into Spider-Girl, I couldn't at all.

From what I remember, it sounds like it's mostly DeFalco and Mackie doing this, so less cooks in the kitchen could make it a little more likely to be more coherent.

Especially ambitious because of how small the Superman group and how big the Batman and X-Men groups are. It has a chance of topping the Spider books, maybe, but certainly not the others.

I've been reluctant to follow the Young Justice line because I still await its demise and that it seems like Blue Beetle and Legion of Super-Heroes are the only books that are independent aside from the former's crossover with Green Lantern: New Guardians. I'm curious how the intend to make Harvest a big threat to the entire DCnU, because so far it sounds like he's just been the Young Justice line's Big Bad.

He pretty clearly invented a character called H'ell entirely for the stupid pun-based story titles.

Superman's been one of the most disappointing books of the New 52.

Snyder and Jim Lee's Man of Steel can't get here fast enough, and the movie execs need to keep their mitts off the comics.

Switching over to "Superboy," you've got him crossing over with the Ravagers and later on "Legion Lost." What does meeting up with these characters from "The Culling" again mean to him?

Those characters are the closest things he has to brothers, sisters, because they're all from the same place. They are the closest thing he has to a family and his time with the Ravagers, he'll be with the Ravagers for a few issues, will be very important to his growth as a person because we're going to learn the Superboy that could have been. We're going to see his chance for happily ever after -- before we shatter it! [Laughs]

Not really. The name was chosen to be a pun (a very bad one) but the character creation is bigger than that.
