I'm happy Hulk Season One performed as well as it did.

Also, I didn't expect ASM to jump that far up the list.

Rare to see 2 Marvel TPB in the top 10.

It was a 50th Anniversary special with 5 variant covers. I don't think it was a typical sample.

How can people still buy Justice League? That book gets derided on every forum by readers and by every critic.

Happy for ASM and Hulk Season One.

I know right?, if only a tenth of the readers would drop that sorry excuse for a comic and try stuff like Demon Knights or Frankenstein if they want to keep to DC, or even an indy book *gasp*

Although DC nabbed 33.32% dollar share to Marvel's 32.42%, the House of Ideas edged out DC in unit share by .06%
    Wow, a whole 0.06%!

Apart from the ludicrous nature of this whole monthly pissing-match, anyone who has dealt wtih Diamond probably knows better than to assume they're capable of that level of accuracy.

The Supes-WW news only came out a week before the book was released. Reorder numbers for JL #12 have been huge and will push final sales above Batman.

Justice League under Johns hasn't been great but it's far from DC's worst book.

I enjoyed it a lot more than Demon Knights which was full of boring and cliched characters fighting boring and cliched villains. I'd be quite happy if that book died and the readers migrated to Dial H instead.

I don't get it. How are the characters and villains in Justice League not more boring and cliched? Was there a gigantic upswing in writing quality and a change in penciller after the first hardcover I am not aware off?

'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."

It helps a lot that Johns is writing characters I like who have appeared in a lot of past stories I've enjoyed. The power and dynamism of Jim Lee's art are also something I appreciate.

I'm not nearly as invested in Madame Xanadu, Angry Amazon, Boy\Girl Shining Knight, the Demon, Arab Scientist, Conan Vandal Savage and the two villains who were so unmemorable I can't remember their names. That's largely because Cornell hasn't succeeded in making me care.

By way of contrast I loved Lemire's Frankenstein despite not having read the character at all before. The plots, characters and dialogue were inventive, interesting, funny and touching.

Yes. There was a gigantic upswing in quality. You are now aware.

Count me down as another one who enjoys Justice League. I actually liked the latest arc with Graves as a rogue who wanted to punish the team more for his wife and kids dying. I liked the sub plot that Waller wants to know how to beat them in case the Suicide Squad has to.
