DMC is an injury risk waiting to happen. The Raiders defense is always talked up each season , and is utter shit . No one knows how Allen will fair as HC.

As long as we can get 12 games out of him i'm glad. But be warned....this isn't the same old AL Davis 1970s Defense anymore.

Its not a weak division by a long shot. The Broncos have Manning and he shores up a weakness at QB the team had last year. That defense is one hell of a great unit. The Chargers have Rivers and that offense. They drafted for defense and one player is that rookie DE they got. The Chiefs have so many offensive weapons ...Bowe , Breaston , Baldwin , Charles , Moeki and more ...that if they had a QB they could go far. But injuries have came again and the team is hurt from that. The Raiders themselves have so many issues , but have a decent young WR corps led by Ford.

So its not a weak division . Its one if the Chargers show up , if Matt Cassel plays worth a damn and if Peyton can rebound ...its gonna be one hell of a year.

I dunno about claiming that Denver's D is great. They have a lot of potential, but they're off-and-on.

Ford is no way there #1 WR....it's Moore though one could argue based off of stats last year it would be DHB. You seem to forget good ol Run DMC and the fact that the Raiders D will be MUCH improved due to the fact the our head coach is the first D minded head coach since John Madden. Plus Denis Allen (our HC) was Denver's D Coordinator.

I wouldn't read too much into how D-minded or O-minded a coach is reflecting the team's performance. When the Vikes hired Brad Childress, the O-coordinator of the Eagles, our offense went into the toilet except for when Favre was hot. He couldn't even figure out how to give Adrian Peterson the ball. Then we replaced him with Leslie Frazier, the defensive coordinator and former secondary coach. Coincidentally, our secondary was the worst in the league last year. Sure, Childress left him with a thin cupboard, but he didn't bother trying to fix it until this draft.

Skepticism of whether that might happen is probably why he lasted until the end of the second round in our fantasy league.

Lost in the entire Tebow deal , was the fact the Bronco's defense was playing OUTSTANDING football and keeping teams from scoring and getting the ball back for Tebow. Beyond a blowout to the Lions , they went so many weeks holding teams . If the Panthers had that ....they would have made the playoffs (7 games they could have won , but lost in the 4th quarter)

To bring up what Nick said about coaches signed to help a team's need. Ok for years under Dick Vermeil the Chiefs offense was spectacular and could score a ton of points. But the defense was horrible and couldn't stop butter . Once Vermiel left , the Chiefs got Herm Edwards. A guy who was supposedly a "defense" guy and could fix it. Instead he never could.

Romo is just doing it all himself now. I said it last year when some were ripping Romo , the guy plays his heart out and does everything for that team. They don't win half as much without him.
