Is "badman" a good thing? Is it your version of "badass?" That's one of the few British-isms I'm not familiar with. =o

Yeah it's a play on the word Badass. It's said a lot in our rap music.

"So you think you're a badman?" Would be an example of how it started off, I think.

We replace "someone" or "a man" with just "man" a lot, so it's like "Man comes up to me wanting to throw down..." or "Man thinks he hard cuz he's packing a tool." are a couple of examples of how "man" is used in English speech.

Also, "My freind, my buddy, my mate" is replaced with "my man". If you've got a mate round your house and your girlfriend is about to put the kettle on you'd be like "man wants a drink" or something. "Man" refers to the male, but with out saying "the man" or "a man". And if you don't know someone's name, you'd refer to them as "man".

We also replace "thing" with "ting". Example: "You do your ting, I do my ting"

And "What guarn?" or "What be guanin then?" Means "what's going on".

And a "nause" is an incompetent fool.

# Storm fragging Sabertooth in the train station and later Toad in the gift store on Liberty island.
# Storm's tornado move and her fight in X3 during the with Callisto, Quill and Arclight.

Not our Superman, an alternate reality Superman ... and Zap! Just how old are you? Wasn't that episode 2004? Less then ten years ago right? It was one of the most popular shows on Cartoon Network at the time.

First off, "Another Star Trek Reference" was brilliant. Topical satire at its best.

Secondly, I know how you all feel about this thread's name. But since MrV started it, I didn't want to take away from the spirit of a Miles Morales thread. That's why I went with a compromise. Obviously, we're never going to find a title that everyone likes (case in point: some people still don't like the genius title of thread 6 somehow), but I like to think that this somehow appeases both sides.

As soon as The Crimson comes back, he and wyokid will have a 30 page discussion anyway. So we'll be at 5000 posts in no time and ready for a new thread, new title.
