Default Is USM#200 worth bothering with for someone who missed out on the last series?

But caught a few issues of the original USM

Considering that the book isn't even out yet, I don't think there's a definitive answer to your question as of now.

If you're interested in picking up Miles Morales' new series, I'd say go for it. It's assumed that #200 will be a prelude to the first arc of Miles' new book, setting up the return of the Green Goblin.

I can't find any information on how big the issue is going to be. #100 was twice the length of a regular issue so I hope #200 follows suit.

    I'd say yes.

If you liked Ultimate Spider Man than get this.

I dont know how much you've read about it, but this issue will have stuff that has to do with Peter Parker. I think the goal is for it to celebrate the entire series thus far, and the majority of those first 199 issues were Peter. UCSM #150 is still one of my all time favorite comic issues, so I have high hopes for this one. Personally, I recommend jumping back on to Ultimate Spider-Man altogether. It's been really great all the way through while some of the other Ultimate books have had ups and downs.

While the issue seems to focus on the anniversary of Peter's death and will still focus on Miles I say yes and no.

I see this issue being a close to the last volume of Ultimate Spider-Man while setting up what comes next. As well as being a jumping on point for new readers.

Though I say grab all the issues with Miles, as it is a pretty good series in its own.
Pull: Avengers, New Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Captain America, Superior Spider-Man, Superior S.M.T.U, Ultimate Universe, Chew, Invincible, Batman & Smallville.

I've got pretty high hopes for 200, USM is one of my favourite series and even though I think Miles is great, I still miss Peter Parker a lot. Pretty excited at the possibility of some form of him returning (if these Scarlet Spider rumours hold water)), or even .just a flashback of some sort
