That's actually in-character for Wade, but surely he didn't waste all the baddies; likely he just stood by and watched as fists flew between them over their bets.

Who is the chick with antenna? At first I thought it was Monica Rappaccini but she doesn't rock those and they appear on both cover varients so I doubt it is a mistake.

I think it's Lady Deathstrike, in the #1 issue her cybernetic hands and hairpins are visible.

Nice! And it looks like he even has his own "Phoenix Five" outfit.

That was the best part for me.

I didn't even know about the Deadpool variant for issue one. This is pretty hilarious.

Ah, I used to her was rocking the cyber hat and red hair look.

At the end of a recent arc in his solo book at the expense of his healing factor.

Couple of months ago now in Deadpool. Don't follow it, but it was picked up in Uncanny X-Force pretty much immediately.

Thank God Axel made sure his favorite character gets their own variant cover in an event he has nothing to do with. Where's the Hit Monkey variant??

He's in more covers than he is in books.

Why didn't he make an appearance in AvX? I remember reading a free online book where it said deadpool, hulk, nova, cable and scarlet witch were wildcards. Scarlet witch showed up but everyone else is MIA.

The healing factor thing makes no sense though. It's established that without the healing factor, his cancer would eat him alive. And if he didn't have cancer, his healing factor would overload because it has nothing to fight against. But that's Daniel Way for ya.

Anyway, nice bit of meta commentary with the cover. We all know the reason behind AvX was to make money from seeing heroes fight each other.
