It's not like it's going to be a porno. The thing I don't like about a lot of the interviews about it is that Morrison is always quoted about bringing the "sexy" back to Wonder Woman. Yes, Marston's original run had quite a bit of bondage and sexuality in it. But that's not all it had. I do feel like Morrison will accomplish in giving the sexuality in addition to the other stuff that makes her Wonder Woman, which should make everyone happy.

Exactly. It is not because "sexy" is formed from the word "sex" that it makes everything sexy a porno. Like having homosexual theme or characters in comics does not automatically make them about sodomy.

Yeah obviously Morrison needs to have more than just the sex stuff in there. I think he just emphasizes that to be controversial.

It's supposed to be of the same vein as Batman and Superman Earth One, so no, I hardly expect WW:EO to be a nostalgia trip.

This is Grant Morrison we're talking about. He'd find a way to put Egg Fu and some other obscure villain in there if he wanted to.
Jean Grey : What makes you such a bitch, Emma?
Emma Frost : Breeding, darling. Top class breeding.

Well true, but it will be unlike anything we've ever seen before.

He's already brought back Egg Fu in the 52 maxi-series.

Do we have a release date? Is it confirmed? Why wasn't it announced properly in NYCC?

According to a Bleeding Cool article that quotes Morrison, Etta Candy will be an "immense girl" again in Wonder Woman: Earth One. I welcome this--we don't have all that many plus size gals in comics, and what few we do have are one note gag characters. I cannot wait for this book to come out--hopefully, it will be more enjoyable than the Earth One Superman and Batman books.

EDIT: LoL at the bondage scene from the Golden Age Wonder Woman book featured with that article. Marston really was a kinky SOB, wasn't he?

Thus do I write the first chapter of my new scripture. And the first verse is "Let it all burn."

Woops, should've looked in here before creating a thread!

I'm happy Morrison is bringing the spunky plus-size girl back. She was such an integral part of Marston's Wonder Woman... it's really sad that they've lost all the pluck of the character. I'm also incredibly excited for his Steve Trevor, and of course any villains he chooses to use.

I really wish Marston was alive and writing today. He'd probably be my favorite.
