I wonder who they're going to get to switch off with Ribic.
So far Hulk and Thor look like they will be treats for the eye.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!
There is more action in those two pages than the entirety of Fraction's run.
Pull List
Avengers - New Avengers
Uncanny X-Men - All-New X-Men
Fantastic Four - Uncanny Avengers
Indestructible Hulk - Guardians of the Galaxy
Superior Spider-Man - Nova
I hope Marvel does whatever it can to keep Ribic on this. Those pages rock.
Today, I make no demands... no threats! But, one day, I shall voice demands -- and all shall obey them!
That's much nicer than other Ribic pages/art I've seen and vastly superior to the cover art. Really like the gray washes and details.
Will wait and see if additional art pops up, but this is good. Still unsure if I will jump though.
Wake me up when it's over...
I think there will no doubt that Marvel will have the best looking books on the stand with Marvel NOW.
Animals sense weakness, sharks smell blood in water
Ishmael, Moses and Job, knew the divine order.
Yes.
That's all I have to say.
Adults struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life when the answer is obvious to the smallest child: because it's not real. - Grant Morrison
I know I sound like a broken record, but Esad Ribic is AWESOME!
Can he do more than 4 issues a year tho'?
Don't get me wrong, I think he's great, but he's not a monthly guy. Putting him on X-force just didn't work, now did it?
Nor do I really think John Cassaday on Uncanny Avengers is going to work either.
Pretty much the only two artists that do detailed work that can actually do a monthly is Larroca ( and I'm convinced that like many other Spanish or latin artists, like Deodato, that he uses assistents), and Greg Land. ( who swipes a bit too much)
I mean, HELL, look at Bryan Hitch and Age of Ultron! It's taken the guy TWO years, to do what amounts to 6 issues!
Detailed artwork without a SHIT( and I do mean SHIT!!!) -load of assistents just isn't feasible, for any sort of frequently released form of entertainment.
This is the number one reason why the French-Belgian market has become predominantly an OGN-market, where there is 1-2 issues a year, at 48 or so pages.
That's a maximum of 96 pages per year, and the best guys can't even do that, they only do 48 pages a year.
So, looking at a monthly... that's 20x12=240 PAGES!!
Not gonna' happen.

I wonder how much lead time Ribic, Yu and other artists have had. If they are double shipping many titles out of the gate, we can hope at least 2-4 issues are done. The only thing I ask is that whatever fill in artists they get, they are not so incompatable with the main artist.
I'm definitely giving Thor a trial run. The more Jason mentions, the more interested I get.
Wake me up when it's over...
I'm under no illusion that Cassaday or Tony Moore is gonna draw anything after that first story arc. Ya'll better enjoy those first few issues while it lasts, because the inferior fill-in artists are coming. Renato Guedes filling in for Cassaday. Billy Tan filling in for Ribic.
Beautiful art. Damn. I already have too many books. And yet, I'm going to be adding this...
