make mine DC, thanks
I kinda dig this. I do get why Lois and Superman mesh together as a couple, having this "opposites attract" chemistry. However, I've always thought that Wonder Woman was a bit more his speed, especially since she can better relate to the weird life he must lead. I think I've been rooting for this pairing since ~1996 when Kingdom Come came out.

Here's the Bleeding Cool story on this from fifteen months ago;

Dang. I think this is something fans have always wanted but not sure if now is the right time. It's kinda like when you spend a lifetime thinking you want something, get it and then realize you didn't want it in the first place. I loved it in Kingdom Come but not sure how I feel right now.

Bet you Lucy asks Jimmy to go on the date instead with Clark gone and the two hit it off.
And yeah, this has been in the back of my mind ever since the relaunch specifically because of the Bleeding Cool rumors before the relaunch even began. Nice scoop on that one, 15 months ahead of time.
Just in time to be tossed out for the new Superman film.
Hmm. Interesting. I wonder how Hal Jordan and Steve Trevor will respond to this; it seems like Jordan is crushing on her in recent issues of JL...
I would be totally cool with this if it made annnnnny sense in the context of either Action or Wonder Woman (the latter it's particularly invasive). Otherwise, this is some electric superman ridiculousness (where in one title it maybe makes sense), and I will be a-okay with it if Geoff Johns ideas don't force their way into the books I read.

If it's written well, ie., 'realistically', with Diana and Clark realizing and accepting sudden changes of plan (as one or the other 'springs into action'), reactions (on-going, not just in the issue-d'jour) from peers, reactions from 'commoners--people on the ground-- great. If written poorly, or even slackly, indifference.

DC got me in 1997 with the Batman and Wonder Woman romance tease back in JLA #90. I think I'll pass on this one.
We are sitting in the path of a tidal wave of rage and hatred, ladies and gentlemen. I hope we all remembered our water wings.

So this is likely the "Shocking event" they've alluded to for JL#12. Bleeding Cool called this over a year ago even BEFORE the New 52 was formally announced.
I honestly don't know how to feel about it. A part of me wants to see it played out for a little while, but if DC is intent on making it the permanent status quo at the expense of Lois Lane as a character, or if the intention is to decrease her role as a part of Superman's world, then It may end up being the last straw. It just feels like they are catering to the fanboys who always bring up the whole "I don't see why Superman would bother himself with Lois Lane...he should be banging Wonder Woman!". If it's a storyline with a definitive end, I'm all for exploring this concept,but Lois Lane, regardless whether or not they are dating, married, rivals, engaged, whatever, should always be the principle lady in Superman's life. She was created with him for christ sakes!
I also think this is also in part a failsafe in case the Superman heirs win the lawsuit. Makes it easier to write out Lois Lane if her role is so diminished. It would be simple matter to kill her off, or have her quietly move away from Metropolis into comics limbo. Just another element possibly owned by Siegel and Shuster's heirs after 2013 that can be dropped quickly and quietly.
I'm willing to read it first before leveling full judgement. It is intriguing to see how it could be handled. I could see this being the thing that lights the fuse for "Trinity War". However, If it turns out to be the real reason they erased the marriage though, and not all the other BS reason's they gave us (i.e." We want to re-explore that relationship from a new angle" or "we want to restore the classic love triangle that every one knows." or the ever popular " it was just too hard to write interesting stories with a married Superman."), I bet there will be a lot of people lining up with pitchforks and torches. Hell, I might me among them.
