Most memorable anime / manga moments?

In the first season finale of HSDK, when Kenichi manages to turn the tide of the fight by consecutively channeling the personalities of his five masters. Awesome and hilarious.

Also, one moment that really stayed with me in "Detective Conan" was at the end of Shinichi's first meeting with Heiji. After Heiji's spent the entire episode trying to prove himself the superior detective, Shinichi enters in grown-up form, with total class, and proves that Heiji's deductions were incorrect as he catches the real culprit. Heiji, suitably impressed, is honest enough to concede defeat to his rival's superior investigation skills...
...only for Shinichi to say that winning or losing in this context is meaningless - "in the end, all that matters is the truth".

Goku going super saiyan for the first time, when I was a kid it was amazing to see! I was bursting with excitement.

Very well done. Most memorable moment of the whole anime imo.

Ruffy and Pell swooping in from the sky just in time to save Vivi.

Pell dragging the bomb up into the sky and away from the city. The impact is negated by Oda not letting the guy die, but it's still totally awesome.

Enel discovering that his lightning has no effect on Ruffy.

Usopp leaving the crew and his battle with Ruffy.

Ruffy beating the living shit out of Rob Lucci with one final jet gattling.

Zoro taking on all of Ruffy's pain and exhaustion.

Kuma scattering the Straw hats all over the world.

Whitebeard's death.

The monster trio destroying two pacifistas with ease.

I don't tend to get that emotional over anime scenes, and very few have actually managed to make me cry. But the thing with the cat is goddamn heartbreaking.

Summer Wars: Natsuki vs Lovemachine
When Natsuki only had 74 avatars left and she (and I) didn't know what else she could do to turn the tide. When everything seemed so hopeless, 74 slowly turned to 75 and a german kid's avatar said, "Natsuki, please use my acount." and what follows is pure AWESOMEness.

Agreed with all of this. I have to add the infamous "One Punch" KO of Bellamy. Such a simple, satisfying moment and summed up Luffy perfectly.

Two slightly different moments.

First is Maes Hughes funeral. It is without a doubt one of the saddest, most heart-breaking scenes I've seen in an anime. I can think very few fictional funerals that are as well-portrayed as this one. If you can watch this scene without getting a little teary eyed you are a heartless monster.

Second is chapter 87 of Soul Eater titled "Just a simple story about killing people". It's just so very dark as we're shown just how Medusa turned Chrona into her own nervous wreck of a killing machine. The twist at the end came as big shock as Medusa, who pulls her most haunting visage to date, begins her endgame plan.

In the final OAV, when Kenshin gets back home.

Well, for being honest it's mostly thanks to the music that the scene works well but anyway, if you watch that without being moved then you need to have your soul checked cause there is definitely something wrong with it.

Oh, and the end of the first season of Gundam 00 really surprised me. Didn't expect things to turn that bad but our merry little group of pilots.
