Woe is Personamanx.
I think CBR posters have a new favorite shot. Storm blasting BP, solid gold. Also: props to Druid for hopefully getting rid of Jessica. I like you more already just for the thought.
They’ll all be around, KurtW95, but we’re not yet ready to say where or in what capacity. Dr Strange in particular plays a major role in Brian Bendis’ final “New Avengers End Times” in “New Avengers” #31-34, and we’ve got something else planned we’ll be revealing soon…
If I had cat ears, they'd be perked straight up right now.
It sounds like he might not be the only one to bite it.
“AvX” ends with seismic impact. It affects both the Avengers and X-Men. I won't say who lives or who dies, but both teams will reassess what they are, what they do, and how they do it. As for the individual players – there will be redemption, disgrace and sacrifice, and not everyone will get out alive. Some characters will reassess their place in the universe – literally – and some will have a lot of ‘splainin’ to do. Some will have regrets; others won’t. The fates of some characters might be controversial, but they will be emotionally true.
Alonso: We're definitely pulling no punches when it comes to Cyclops. He plays a central role in this story, right down to the end. Cyclops has shouldered a huge burden for some time – and the Phoenix Force has tapped into a part of him that, well…I better shut up. [Laughs]
Please don't be the Void, please don't be the Void, please don't be the Void...

So either Scott, Emma, or someone else is going to take the Phoenix Force and head off into the cosmos, right?

Well, that'll be a nice change from the last eight years. The close of “AvX” is filled with "oh $%#!" moments that will have readers buzzing, but they’re all emotionally true.
*sigh* He still doesn't seem to realize that most people didn't root for Cap because they shared his position, but because of the actions they portrayed Iron Man taking. Fomenting a war with Atlanteans; making money via insider traiding; being aligned with Maria Hill, who illegally opened fire on Cap; etc. etc. I wish they'd just acknowledge the story was flawed, since I'm still frustrated by how good it COULD have been.Alonso: Fans root for whoever’s worldview they most relate to. Back when we did “Civil War," a majority of readers rooted for Cap – either because they shared his position or simply due to his underdog status – but Tony also had his share of backers. His methods were Machiavellian, but his position was always defensible, always understandable.
We've already been told it's Avengers. Yay, just what the Avengers need, a dull-ass martial artist.Shang-Chi will be featured in an ongoing series as a part of MARVEL NOW! Which one? Keep reading, SilverZeal!
Thanks KurtW95 for asking the questions about Fury, Iron Fist and the good Doctor. I am very pleased they have something else in store for Doc.
As for New Avengers *sigh* - not quite sure if I'll part with $13 for Bendis' last arc but I'll cross that bridge when the time comes.
Leinil's Hawkeye vs. Angel art is awesome. His style has evolved just a bit again and it's great.
Wake me up when it's over...
I think it is still just one character. I say that cause I'm sure they would've teased funerals in Uncanny Avengers.
I dunno. I didn't think about the PForce heading into the cosmos. I think maybe he was referring to the character death-- I mean, whoever dies would reassess their place in the universe right? Maybe also Hope? I'm thinking about the Fonji story. I think that's what the fight between Hope and Wanda is about-- does hope get the phoenix or does the Phoenix get sent into space. Cyclops, from Axels interview, is around to react to teen Jean. I think a lot of what Alonso says can be attributed to all the characters. I don't think one character will be disgraced, one will have explaining and so on. But I'm worried that the White Queen will be made the Black Sheep. I hope she gets a chance at some redemption! But that could be for later on, since, if she's around, those will be great stories to tell...
What will Cyclops do? I dunno. But they are pulling punches with him. They are treating him very well in this story after all the other Phoenix members go crazy. I hope they don't destroy Emma just to add the "fine tip" to their pointed love for Cyclops-- even if she lives, they could ruin her.
