Why are they putting teasers out this early. It's like 5-6 months away.

God I really hope this one isn't true (I don't actually think anyone that's been teased is going to die). This is one that would really lessen my enjoyment and attachment to the series going forward.

If it's either Mark Grayson or Atom Eve, I'm dropping the book. Their relationship has been one of my favourite things about the series (and I've been reading it since the beginning).

Very, very much agree with you (except for I wouldn't drop the book but it would significantly decrease my enjoyment and emotional investment in it) as you could probably guess by checking out my art collection in my sig.

What is the deal with Kirkman? Why does he think that anniversary issues should mark the death of a major character? Why cant the book just have a kick ass story to celebrate?

Well, with Kirkman there's always a good chance that this is just a joke or a poke at the Big 2 and how they always market their big death issues. From CBR's write up of the Skybound panel at SDCC:

"The name of the arc going into the anniversary is called “The Death of...?”Kirkman said, saying it was going to be a huge storyline culminating in the #100 issue, saying that they would be taking on the comic book convention of superhero deaths and turning it on its head, beginning with issue #98."

I'm not convinced that this will be as straight forward as they are making it sound. Kirkman has always done a good job at avoiding cliche in the title so we'll see how it goes.

I doubt it will be Atom Eve. I thought that was "impossible" since she can just reconstitute herself.

If she's alive enough to do it. Rip her head off real quick and there's no time for her to use her powers. I doubt (and hope it won't be) it will be Eve either though.

Isn't a psychological block the only thing that keeps her powers in check, and keeps her from being the most powerful being on the planet, and wasn't she pretty much dead last and only time that block temporarily broke? I'd say she is a pretty likely candidate.

Then again Kirkman's talks about being able to watch characters evolve and move through life because the creator owns the character makes me think no. Superhero comics suck in this aspect and I want to see Mark and Eve actually age and grow overtime.

Crazy idea - they will all die and be resurrected in this issue. Repeatedly. I think it can be done if Eve used her powers in full potential.

But if someone is going to die for real then I think it will be Robot or Allen, because their stories seem to be done or close to done. That can't be said about the other three.
