This actually sounds pretty good. I hope they do something really interesting, and really draw from those fairy tale/fantasy authors cited in the interview.

Leah and John, along with Alan Moore and Shane Oakley, created the Albion limited series published by Wildstorm (which was by that time owned by DC) back in 2005-2006.

John Reppion is not a woman, and Leah and John are British, not European. Leah is Alan Moore's daughter, and John is her husband. Do you have some problem with non American creators?

I'm excited about 'Damsels' but I wish that J. Scott Campbell was doing the interior illustrations. I prefer his artistic style over Aneke.

That I did not know! I was just initially sold on the concept, but had some reservations they may do something shallow. This looks like a must buy now

I like J Scot Campbell, and used to read his Gen 13. But looking back, I don't mind cheesecake, but he overdoes it.

Eh... Him working on a comic pretty much guarantees I won't buy it, even if it's just a cover.

If you take a random sampling of people in the street in any city, town or village in the UK and ask them if they consider themselves European, I guarantee a majority will say "no, I'm British". We are an island nation, and for the most part have never really considered ourselves European, culturally or geographically. We are a part of the EC, yes, but then, the Government never consulted the general public about that, and the EC is a purely political construct. I am not European. I am English first and British second.
