Also yea I see where everyone's going with the Lex thing but the way things are going it sounds like he is kryptonian born or made. The Supergirl blurb leans me to that. But most of all it seems like he will a bizarro of sorts or at least a Superman villan. I say this cuz he starts and ends with Superman. (issues 13 to 14)

If it were match then it would start with Superboy befor the event starts. Really I think the only reason he even fights Superboy 1st is cuz his book actually comes out 1st in a mouth and if u are doing a one mouth event on those three books without Action comics (cuz Grant is on his own story) the yea u start with the 1st book (Superboy)

I'm really looking forward to this event and to see how all 3 of the family members play there parts and to even see what thoes parts are. Superman and Supergirl have me most interested cuz of what we have heard already. Nothing on Superboy yet but that has me very interested in itself.

They'd need something a bit clever to explain how he too winds up on Earth (its just the place to be apparently), but beyond that I think it would be a cool development. He certainly looks old and decrepit in the crossover covers. Maybe instead of killing him for whatever reason he's just stored on Kandor or something, and Supergirl's upcoming inquiries to the city somehow leads to him being resized and awakened.

In any case, a line I want to see at some point from Superboy is "He's like a bizzar-o version of us..."

Eh, I thought H'El was supposed to tie into Kryptonian mythology. At least I've been hoping they would do more expansion of "Raology."

Touching on what was said earlier about the new guy being the opposite of the House of El. Satan is also sometimes referred to as Satan-el or Satan'el (lower case). So maybe they are playing up the whole good (God) vs. evil (Devil) flip sides of the same coin thing. I know other angels and fallen angels have that -el extension as well.

Lucifer's true name is actually Helel. And the cover to the issue refers to him as a fallen angel. El means star in Kryptonian too, and all Angel's proper names end in El. So there are definate biblical and evangelical connections.

Maybe H'el was created by Jor-El and/or Zor-Elbut rebelled.

I fully intended to skip this story.Superman has enough kryptonian villains as is.But the fact that this crossover might finally unite the Supes family and also has the justice league appearing in it is why Im gonna read it.

Im also really looking forward to see how Lobdell characterises Superman relationship with the Justice league-lets face it Geoff johns absolutely fails at this.I hope Lobdell shows Superman as the Leader as he rightfully should.

Yeah that's a really good point. I'm interested to see how he plays Superman and the JL as well. It's always cool to see a team from a team book make its way into one of the characters solo books. We got a bit of it in Action comics #10 where Superman is show as the big bleeding heart passionate member......and that clashes with the rest of the group. I thought it was a very good instance.

Judging from Lobdells direction in Superman #13 (where I felt he grew off of what Morrison did in Action comics) I think we'll be getting a characterization that keeps that issue from Action comics in mind.

Honestly, I was really looking forward to that as well. I feel they will eventually do something with it, whether it ties to He'l or not. I'm hopeful.

Just a small nit-pick, but the Ad for the crossover puts the books in the wrong orders. I'm just saying.

After reading Superman 13 yesterday for the first time, I am really excited for this crossover. Rocaforts art is top shelf.

Lobdell to me is a great story teller, and it just seems that he really understands Superman and the mythology that surrounds him.

Quick question for those in the know. I only read supergirl. Can I read Supergirl 14 on it's own or is it a waste without the other books (superman 13 & 14 and Superboy 14)? I'm not keen on buying 3 other books for a crossover that probably won't have any impact on the overall Supergirl arc so am trying to decide if I skip Supergirl 14 or not. Thanks for any help.
