Fraction's "The Defenders" Comes to a Close in November

Matt Fraction's "The Defenders" will end with issue #12 in November as the writer takes on duties for "Fantastic Four" and "FF" for Marvel NOW!

This sucks - I mean it absolutely sucks. I really like this title, and I really like these characters. I hope someone does something with Iron Fist and Dr. Strange, because both deserve a lot of screen time.

Why can't another writer pick it up?

I really can't blame people to not buy a book with Fraction's name on it.

I bought this book, and then I bought it again, I can only blame myself. However, I did think it had something that Marvel needed and it sounded like people enjoyed, so it sucks, but FF looks like it may carry on that wacky style.

if Ant-man had been part of the team from issue 4 or so, i would have been buying 2 of each issue.

I missed Dodson's art after the first arcs. Guess I'll get my She-Hulk fix from Red (She-)Hulk, and my Black Cat fix from... Spiderman?

Matt Fraction seemed to really have great projects onto this one..and as quoted above, why nobody's in charge to continue after him ?

This is a real shame. I was enjoying that book and all its weirdness. But I suppose the writing was on the wall, with Fraction getting three new projects and sales figures not being good.

I wonder where Strange will land after this.

I really thought I'd hate this book, but I ended up really enjoying it. Dr.Strange was GREAT! I'll be sad to see it go.

I honestly wonder how much sales were impacted by the quality of the first arc. The rest of the series was SO much better than the first three issues, which kinda sucked and were also heavy on Fear Itself related nonsense.
