Edit: Never mind, looks like Defalco is only temporary on Nightwing. Still terrible though.

More Lapham and Woods, always good.

More Defalco? lol. Ok. I still can't believe I didn't fall into a wormhole in the spacetime continuum what with Defalco, Lobdell, Nocenti, Christy Marx et al getting premium gigs.

I can't remember the last time I saw a writer need a fill-in for the one title they were writing...strange. (Is Kyle doing something else?)

Ohhh. Lapham on art duties, glad he's not writing it.

Dan Slott on ASM, but then again, that title double-ships.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

I don't think it's so much Higgins 'needed' it so much as DC trying to get the amount of issues fully done back up to their New 52 launch minimum. I think it was 4 issues?

So basically, it's to keep some titles from really needing a fill in or delays.

I think the reason for the question is that while artists can't necessarily do 20 pages in a month, there's an expectation that a writer could do 40 pages or more a month if he needed to in order to get ahead. Perhaps Higgins is a particularly slow writer?

Well he's also a film director, so he might have a project he want to give his full attention for a couple of months.

Right, that's what I was getting at. Defalco's already writing 2? regular monthly books, and now he's doing some fill in writing for someone who's only doing 1. It's just sort of odd. That's why I asked if Kyle was doing anything else I didn't know about.

I'm happy to see Defalco on anything, as his FF was the first regular comic I got and his Spidey is about as good as the character gets. I'd rather see him on a regular book that he hits from he ground up, though.

You're right, he's also a producer, writer, and works in the sound department. I just checked IMDB.

So yeah, seems like he could get pretty busy.
    I seriously miss Captain Mar-Vell.

Mieville and Lapham seem like they'd go hand in glove. Hopefully, this will be more than a one-time deal.

If they're getting fill-ins there must be something going on.
