Spider-Men #4 *Spoliers*

So I just finished reading Spider-Men 4 and I really enjoyed it. I like how everything is coming together but there was one particular moment I want to bring up.

Ok, so this has to do with Peter, Gwen, and Miles' talk with each other about all the similarities and differences of both their worlds, which I thought was great btw. It was hilarious when Gwen was telling Miles about the Wolverine/Spider-Man switch. but there was one line from Miles where he says, "I wonder if there's a me where you come from." and Pete just says "yeah, maybe, I don't know." So this got me thinking that the Alpha character/sidekick/whatever that's coming up in Slott's run could end up being the 616 version of Miles and maybe Peter will feel obligated to take him under his wing after his background with Miles from this story. Could be far fetched, but just a theory I had. This was a great read though, Peter's moments with Aunt May, Gwen, and MJ were all really well done imo. and when Fury finds out he's white in Peter's world was really funny.

Yah I already knew about Miles being introduced to the 616 so it's kind of cool. Glad he didn't become spiderman or all the racist spidey fans will be coming out of the woodwork like no tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure that season one books aren't really exclusive to 616. They are simply timeless origin stories. And Miles there is just an easter egg.

I didn't even read Ultimate Spider-Man on a regular basis but the scene with 616 Peter and Ultimate May had me almost in tears. This has been the best Spider-Man related comic I've read in a long time.

yeah and the fact that Peter and MJ didn't even have an interaction was heart wrenching

I've been kind of lukewarm on this series so far but this one really nailed it. The intereactions between Peter, May, Gwen (and his non-interaction with MJ) put a serious lump in my throat. Great stuff, a must-read for any Spidey fan.
