Simply, the fun feeling, of flashing that cover to others, even myself.

Actually, not a digital comics person myself - never even tried one to begin with - except for the occassional "free" section in the DC site - don't believe in credit cards, or usin' them. But, I shall take it like itunes, which I use itunes gift cards - sure, have bought quite a few songs from it, readily accessible to play, but it just almost feels too easy - where's the sport, the thrill, of actually shopping for them? Just simply a neater, more authentic feeling, holding the singer or group's CD or record in my hands, and if I want it in my computer, record, rip them in!

I do the same kinda close enough with my comics, if I want some pages immortalized on my computer, scan some favorite pages, actual pages. If they're older comics, it's even neat tellin' they're original pages too, from colors, even texture! They must be all regular, flat issues, that is, not trades, unless trades are their only format; way they are binded to its spine structure, you'll never get the full page scanned.

And yes, over the years, some comics may have ended up bented, dented, maybe even smudged, faded and teared, such is the risks when they are meant for reading. I may momentarily freak out, even mourn over some, but, if I find another copy somewhere, I replace them.

You make a good case for the PRO-HARD COPY side.

Me? Nope. Not anymore. Not since comics stopped smelling like newspaper. LOL.

Even though you prefer the hard copies, to say that they don't bring the variant covers is not factual. They do have the variants when applicable as well.

I would love the hard copies better myself, but for me it's a matter of being practical over doing what I like. the storage space (for me) is an issue regardless of which method I like the best.

That's cool that they bring the variant covers in some cases, the few times that I've browsed digital I never noticed any. Still physical all the way for me though lol.

DC needs to improve the quality of their scans. its just horrible when you zoom in (even a little). everything becomes blurry :/
What of the Hunting, Hunter Bold? Brother, the Watch was Long and Cold..

What of the Quarry ye went to Kill? Brother, He Crops in the Jungle Still..

Digital, unless the publisher is stubborn like Dark Horse, then I have to wait for the trades.

I'm digital now mostly because I can't buy U.S. comics where I live for a decent price. I live in such a small space that it's more practical anyhow. Digital is cheaper, more convenient and easier for me to catch up on past issues than hard copies. However, I will probably still buy TPBs of books that I love so that I can lend it out to friends.

At the time of this writing, a majority of people have voted that they are all digital now. I wonder how this reflects in the sales of the Wonder Woman comic? Digital numbers are not included in the monthly reports!
