I'd put money on it that under a new writer this book doesn't last another year. The idea of Flash in the suit is neat, but Venom books just don't last.
I would agree that the "circle of four" storyline sucked and the book lost momentum for that arc but it quickly regained it and Remender is going out with a bang with this current arc. That said, to proclaim the book won't last another year under a different writer is as foolish a statement to make as the guy on these boards who predicted Venom would not make it to #12 back when it launched. Sorry but we just have no basis for that; every other previous incarnation of a Venom title starred Eddie Brock and they starred him after his character was beaten into the ground already. Let's give Bunn a chance; I already said I am not particularly high on him but willing to give him a shot. To me, this title has more than enough credit in the bank and promisiing foundation to go for quite awhile yet.

Remender's VENOM run has been brilliant. I'm defintiely sorry to see him go but I'm more than willing to give Bunn a chance. His FEARLESS mini was great, the Dr. Rot Wolverine story was solid (if not mind-blowing) and I dug the first issue of DEADPOOL KILLS THE MARVEL UNIVERSE so I think Venom is in pretty good hands.

I'm more than willing to give Bunn a chance when he takes over Venom. With Remender still using the character in Secret Avengers, the two writers have to be communicating and bouncing ideas back and forth. Not to take anything away from Cullen Bunn but this seems pretty close to how the book was working the last few months.

I couldn't get behind Bennett being Crime-Master. Waaaaaaaaaaay too big of a coincidence for my tastes.

    Now that's an idea.

Remender really surprised me with Venom and as other said will be sad to see him geaux. However I followed this book through "COF" and that was pretty rough TBH. Let's see if Bunn can deliver and keep it going. I wanna see how "Minum Carnage" turns out and then lets see what is in store for Venom/Flash this upcoming New Year.

Venom under Remender is easily my favorite and most anticipated book each month. Sad to see him go but luckily he is still writing Venom in SA so that is awesome. Venom and Remender are the reasons I am still getting SA.

I have hope for Bunn. The Dr. Rot arc was slightly above average in Wolverine. So I have hope Venom won't drop too far in awesomeness.

So is Shalvey a guest artist or is he sticking around for Bunn?

Shavely is sticking around. He is rotating with another artist (there's a preview up on CBR), can't remember his name right now.

I still say he should've been frantic Freddy Foswell, back from the ever-lovin' grip o' death!
I had a letter printed once in Amazing Spider-Man #604!

Before Marvel NOW!, my pull list was 14 Marvel books. Now, it's more like 5 Marvel, 7 DC, and a few indies.

Think of it like this: spoilers:
you'd have been real pissed when he died again!
    end of spoilers

But seriously, it had to be someone with a personal connection to Betty.

Yeah, all the cool kids refer to the Circle of Four crossover as COF.

He will be missed but now I'm going to follow whatever he works on next. this venom run has been really great imo. the book really hit its stride after the spider island tie ins. they successfully made the jack o lantern really creepy and i thought the circle of 4 was really entertaining. there were even a couple of phish references by jack haha. im going to keep following after he's gone and hope for the best

I came into the series late but man Remender got me liking both Flash AND Venom, both of which I was different about prior. Although I'll be leaving when Rick does I still have back issues to look forward to getting.

You mean the big, bad, hulking toothy Venom?
