This title, along with "Scarlet Spider" have been 2 of the best new books in years launched by Marvel. I hope the quality stays at least close to what we have gotten for the first 21 issues.

Yeah, I have not loved him on "Wolverine" but willing to give him a fair shot on "Venom". Here's hoping....

He's only had the one story on Wolverine so far, where Dr. Rot returned. The #309 filler issue (that was mysteriously $5.99...WTF) was by a writer I wasn't familiar with and the current arc is Jeph Loeb. I thought Bunn's Dr. Rot arc was pretty good, as it played on a lot of what was established in the "Wolverine: Weapon X" arc that Aaron introduced Dr. Rot in. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do with Venom.
I had a letter printed once in Amazing Spider-Man #604!

Before Marvel NOW!, my pull list was 14 Marvel books. Now, it's more like 5 Marvel, 7 DC, and a few indies.

Yeah, I know....but that whole Dr Rot story seemed very drawn-out and also I had a sense of "been there, done that too many times" with the whole plot. Wolvie controlled to be a killing machine again?? Really???Also totally agree on that $6 fill-in issue; that was total bullshit.

The dude at my local comic shop was pissed about the $6 fill-in issue, but I only got charged $3.99 since I'm a regular. He still ended up selling out of that issue, though. What was the point of them charging that much for an issue that wasn't really any bigger than normal and had a story that took place in X-Force continuity from 3 years ago?

I get what you're saying with the Dr. Rot thing, too. I don't think there's that much more you can do with a guy like Rot, though. Maybe he's best left alone for a while.

But anyways...Bunn on Venom probably won't be so bad. I'm iffy about the upcoming Son of Satan arc since "Circle of Four" was the only previous Venom arc I was lukewarm on, but who knows?

I hope the next writer actually uses Venom.

Same here; I actually would go so far as to say I disliked that arc but won't lay all that blame at the feet of Bunn as it was a crossover with several different writers from the other titles IIRC.

Was Bunn part of Circle of Four? I can't even remember now. I just remember it being too "'90s X-TREME" for me to enjoy...especially when it jumped the shark with the Rulk-Venom Rider.

I too would like to see the classic Venom rage more in the next arcs. However, Remender's writing has been top notch; he will be missed. Bunn has some big shoes to fill...

There was some classic Venom rage in the last issue of Secret Avengers, which Remender is still writing.

I wonder if Remender cementing the Venom/Valkyrie relationship in Secret Avengers means Bunn will get to play with Valkyrie again in Venom.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

True. It is the first SA issue I bought and I was very pleased! Hopefully it spills over into The Monsters of Evil arc.

This was a great book for the first 12 issues or so. The whole devil plot line got me all mixed up with what was going on. I thought he was traveling to Vegas with Jack and then all of a sudden Jack is gone and he is fighting demons... I felt like I missed something. It forced me to drop this book a few months back.

I'd put money on it that under a new writer this book doesn't last another year. The idea of Flash in the suit is neat, but Venom books just don't last.
