WWE has now officially added John Cena to next Tuesday's WWE TV tapings from Bossier City, LA. Cena will be working the Main Event taping against Damien Sandow but may also work the SmackDown taping.

    - Wrestling legend Lex Luger appeared on last night's episode of Hardcore Pawn on TruTV. Luger brought in one of his wrestling robes to sell for the non-profit charity Believe Wrestling Outreach. Luger was offered $2,500 for the robe but talked them up to $3,500 since it was for charity.

    - PWInsider reports that WWE sent out their annual letter to former talents this week, letting them know that if they need any kind of rehab then WWE will take care of it. It's interesting to note that this year, the letter came from Triple H when it has come from Vince McMahon in the past.

With CM Punk retaining the WWE Championship against Ryback and John Cena at Survivor Series on Sunday, thereby likely solidifying an expected match with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson at Royal Rumble, the sports-entertainment organization's creative team has discussed a scenario where The Straight Edge Superstar would defeat The Great One at the annual January pay-per-view event. This would subsequently lead to Punk defending the title against The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXIX, and Johnson facing Cena in a non-title re-match at the same event.

Original creative plans called for Johnson to defeat Punk at the Rumble, leading to a match against Cena for the title—which could still occur. Creative has given thought to how Johnson winning the WWE Championship would impact the product since there would be no titles defenses at houses shows for over two months, and also add a new issue of whether he would defend the title at the February pay-per-view event, Elimination Chamber. Not awarding Johnson would rectify this problem.

Though the importance of the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship has diminished in recent years, one of the primary reasons that creative has yet to unify the belts is because they feel a title match should close out all house shows.

I like Taker but having a guy with two bad knees who only appear once a year to be the guy to end Punk's streak isn't a good move.

By that token though, losing to Undertaker at Wrestlemania is BY FAR the one way that Punk could potentially lose the title and be hurt the least. Him losing to Cena or Rock solidifies that he's not on there level (which is true, but you still don't want to project that), if he goes out making a new guy he's going to go way down the card because he can't be champion and he can't be in the Cena level spot and this run is about making Punk not somebody else who is untested and might bomb, then if he loses to Austin the entire generation is pretty much crapped all over.

But losing to the one guy who is super over, nearly invulnerable, and pretty much believed to be unbeatable on that one day of the year... Eh he could come out the next week basically being in the same spot HHH, HBK, Edge, and Batista were the last 6 years. Still a huge star, didn't lose any spot really. Not the worst position to be in.

This is funny. Mainly because he's the perfect candidate to break the streak. He's new enough that this would totally push him over the edge, he's not green and has been tested enough that they would have alot of reason to have faith in him, and he's a heel so he doesn't have to worry about backlash.

Still they won't do it. At least this year. Once Taker loses that streak he has no reason to be around.

    - The official WWE website is now promoting CM Punk's scheduled appearance on Talking Dead this Sunday night at at 11 p.m. on AMC, a live talk show that discusses episodes of the popular The Walking Dead drama series.

Yesterday on Twitter, Punk vented on WWE not promoting his talk show appearance nor his return home to Chicago tomorrow as Official Grand Marshal of the McDonald’s Thanksgiving Parade. He wrote, "Yes, I will be on @AMCTalkingDead on Sunday. Shocking how WWE didn't promote it or get AMC the proper materials in time to announce it. I will also be the Grand Marshall in the Chicago turkey day parade. Also not announced or promoted by "my" company. Shocking. This is what happens when you go over everyone's head to hustle and acquire your own outside appearances. #disrespect."

    - To correct a report from last week on WWE opening Raw broadcasts with a man narrating video packages after Vince McMahon was shown a tape of TNA Wrestling's Impact Wrestling show, he was actually informed of the concept by an employee and upon being intrigued, immediately concluded that his company could do it better. It was noted that if he had actually watched an Impact Wrestling opening, he probably would have been embarrassed with WWE blatantly copying an idea from TNA.

Multiple members of WWE's creative staff—more their assistants—are assigned to watch tapes of TNA, Ring of Honor and WWE's NXT, and file a report on its contents. There are other employees who work in the same capacity as consultants for the company.

Though some creative writers joined WWE with no knowledge of professional wrestling whatsoever, there are some who were prior fans.

    Bulllllshitttt, here's why.
    1. They can't put the title on Taker, and they can't let Punk end the streak, but more importantly
    2. Cena/Rock two is the same match as last year but less of a draw this time without the title, at least with the title it's different.

Dusty Rhodes Talks About Ambrose, Rollins & Reigns, Their Rumored Entrance Theme
    By Michael Bluth
    Nov 21, 2012 - 2:45:10 PM

    - WWE.com has an interview up with NXT authority figure Dusty Rhodes, who talks about the new faction of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns invading WWE and raising hell. Here are some highlights of what Dusty said about:

Why They Are Targeting Ryback: "They picked the right guy, because sometimes the way to become the next big thing is by going after the biggest dog in the yard. They really believe - they’d talk to me about this - that guys like Ryback are ‘just one-dimensional,’ and that’s quoting these three guys.”

The Group Making An Impact: "In our developmental system, there’s one thing we’re always preaching: make an impact. I’m not condoning the actions of these three guys. But they see the youth movement. They see the Kofi Kingstons and Damien Sandows of WWE, and they want to be part of it. I always told them, ‘If you see the opportunity, you have to take it.’"

“As a coach and a teacher and mentor, as well as the GM of NXT , I know that all of these kids are told to step up to the plate and hit a home run. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns just got tired of seeing the other guys out there, making money that could be theirs. They want those WWE roster spots, and they’re ready to knock down doors.”

    - PWTorch.com is reporting that entrance theme song for the new group is rumored to be a song titled, "I'm Telling You" by the Cincinnati-based band "Damn It To Hell"

Paul "Triple H" Levesque Explains Why He Cut Off His Trademark Ponytail
    By Daniel Pena
    Nov 21, 2012 - 11:16:37 AM

Promoting WrestleMania XXIX at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Paul "Triple H" Levesque, WWE Executive Vice President of Talent and Live Events, appeared on WHEB-FM's "The Morning Buzz." During the radio interview, he explained that he cut off his trademark ponytail in September because wearing it on a daily basis in the corporate environment had become an increasing nuisance.

"To be honest, the hair actually didn't have that much to do with the corporate position as much as it did with... For years when I was wrestling and I wore my hair down all the time—I'd go through airports whenever I let my hair down, it didn't matter—and just in that [corporate] environment I was wearing my hair up all the time. It just got to be such a pain that for the last year and a half I've been dying to cut it off. It just started to become the bane of my existence, my hair every day, and I never wore it down; I just couldn't wait for the time when I could finally get rid of it," Levesque explains.

"And it's the weirdest thing. To me, it wasn't that big of a deal and I didn't really put that much thought into it, but then I literally did it in the morning, drove to the office, there was a couple of people outside, I took a few pictures as I was walking in, and I went inside. I got upstairs, it wasn't even ten minutes later, and someone came up, "Dude, you're all over TMZ that you cut your hair."

They should just pay Austin to do Punk/Austin at Wrestlemania. Close the show with that. Austin can win (and Punk won't be hurt) with the finish. Because give Punk a good 2-3 month fued with Stone Cold , and fans will eat that . They could have something special with it. Its not like Steve will hold the title long. At Backlash or heck...at the June PPV , Punk can get his win back and beat Austin.
