Does anyone know if Marvel is moving toward the Image approach to advertising with Marvel Now? in-house and all other ads at the end of the book?
Frankly this plays a major role in what I pick up.
Thanks

I don't think anyone knows until the first issue ships, but I doubt it. I'm sure they will have their regular advertising.
Today, I make no demands... no threats! But, one day, I shall voice demands -- and all shall obey them!
Why not? It is not like there are not alternatives to Marvel, so given all other things being equal, the comic where the story is not interrupted by ad pages will certainly be more appealing to some readers.
To the OP, I'd also say this is something I wish would become the norm. In fact I pretty much skip ads to get to the next page, but I might be more likely to take the time to check things out after I have read the last page of the story if they were all just collected in the back.
Haven't read much Image lately, but are all of the ads in their books house ads? I can't imagine a company paying for an ad knowings its just going to be in the back, unless its the inside back cover. Honestly, I don't think I even notice ads when I'm reading a comic.
Back to the OP question, I doubt they are moving in this direction. There were a few months earlier this year where there were no ads in any of their books other than house ads and they were still scattered through out the issue. Since then, regular advertising has returned and appear as normal.

Never even considered placement of ads. It takes just another second to flip the page. What if TV shows had all their commercials at the end of the show. Would they get watched? I don't think so, if Image is doing great with their ads at the end than they must have some pretty good ads.
I actually only have a problem with ads in select marvel books --- think Fantastic Four. I'm legitimately kind of irritated when an ad for a goddamn spider-man toothbrush interrupts my reading of a great story. It's like a reminder that Marvel enjoys treating me like I'm 5.
@YouthofToday Yeah, all the image ads are house ads. Speaking of which, for the longest while, after a professional comics website (do not recall which) told me so, I was under the impression that the main income source for comics in this day and age was advertising; that Marvel or DC would barely make money otherwise.
Many Image comics these days are 25+ pages, with no ads that aren't in-house, WITH letter columns, for 2.99.
So what the hell?
