DEADBABIES
I think I wanna try this issue out. Been hearing the Batgirl title was getting stronger, and I've always like the character. Plus, Batwoman is in it. But, before I do:
- is this the beginning of its own arc?
- how many issues in said arc?
- and can someone give me an unbiased opinion that it's in fact getting better, or not?
^This arc started with issue #10 and you will want to get issue #11. I dropped Batgirl because it wasn't interesting to me at first but starting with issue 10, I started REALLY liking it.
I would recommend following the Knightfall arc.
Chill!
Ok. I just might do that. I really love the character, I just hear such bad things, that I wasn't following it in the beginning.
I'm impressed Gail let her favorite character lose. It made sense in the context that Babs was clearly at a disadvantage. It's not too bad really, Batgirl has had plenty of superhero vs superhero fights (sparring or not) for me already.
A part of me was jokingly thinking that Gail was actually auditioning to take over Batwoman's book, that one part of the fight that we did see was just so absolutely one-sided. Again though it's only a few pages from the entirety, so I won't cry foul completely until getting the full issue tomorrow.
Pull list:
Adventure Time, Batgirl, Batman & Robin, BOP, Earth 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, He-Man, Katana, Nightwing, Shadowman, Swamp Thing, The Ultimates, Ultimate Spider-Man, Worlds' Finest
That was why I started pulling Batgirl- because I like Babs Gordon. The first several issues didn't maintain that love. I expected her to be a little scared taking the mantle back but she was far too whiney and scared. Starting with issue 10, I started seeing a more confident, yet caring Babs, the one I like.
Chill!
^ yeah, just added this to my list of books. Gonna give it a shot.
