Well, there was that whole psychological torture and near death by stabbing thing that happened to Batman over the course of two and a half issues, but other than that I suppose no one. Well, the guy with all the knives sticking out of him in the first issue. And the death by poison of the Court themselves, and....... Well, you probably just meant important characters.

I can almost guess how this is going to go
-The tough precocious girl that thinks Bruce Wayne is all talk but looks up to Batman because he represents the "real" Gotham
-Bruce ends up winning her over through niceties
-Her parents/guardians might die if they aren't already dead
-Bruce adopts some more kids

The art is an interesting style (resembles woodcut) not sure it lends itself to the comic medium, tho. Looks a little haphazard and unfinished.

Okay, well, I don't necessarily believe that all dialogue should, but it's distracting because it seems obvious to me that Snyder is at least trying to attempt it. What really bugged me is that having a character from a lower class background say something like that has become such a cliche that I just cringe everything time I see it.

The overuse/cliche angle is what you were getting at, then. But seriously, I do hear people talk that way. Its almost like a reverse snobbery thing, like if you aren't strugging and/or poor you don't/can't appreciate anything. Biggest cliche of all!

Not a bad issue, for one that has basically nothing to do with Batman himself. However, this Harper Row character seems like an interesting addition to the Bat cast.

Because he just finished eleven straight issues; give the man a break.

Are we now holding 11 issues in a row as being an accomplishment? Makes me feel bad for all the guys that have drawn 30, 50, even 100+ issues in a row on some books.

Hopefully he got an award for this, because if he was over at Marvel the past few years we'd be lucky to have the same artist on a book for 3 issues in a row.

The Andy Clarke art was amazing.

This was the most enjoyable the title has been since last year for me. It still had patches of bad dialogue, but I like Harper. Having Tiger Shark show up was really cool and unexpected.

I can say without any hesitation that it was, at least for me, the best Batman issue since the reboot.
