Cool. His work on the book has been stellar. I was hoping he hadn't decided to skip off.

I have a feeling Alfred is going to die and this girl will replace him.

I agree that the death in "Death of the Family" will likely be Alfred and it will cause the Bat-family to fray.

I doubt she is going to replace him but maybe if Synder knows Morrison's plan in Inc and Damian is headed towards tragedy she might end up being a replacement sidekick in the future. Though in both instances I hope I am wrong.

What are people basing Alfred dying on? I haven't seen anything to indicate that at all. No way DC let's someone kill Alfred.

I was not particularly aware that others were thinking it as well but my thoughts are based on the fact that Alfred is outside of Tim one of the only Bat characters without his own title who has been introduced to the new 52 and thereby easier to kill off from a publishing stand point. I hope I am wrong and I am basing my belief off of nothing other than my own concern based on the title of the upcoming Joker story. Then again maybe the Death is not literal but rather figurative or it may end up being someone who is not a direct member of the Batfamily but still closely tied to them.

Well, maim isn't the same as kill. At worst, I could see Harper maybe helping out the heroes during the next arc while Alfred is recovering.

Considering what Joker put the Gordon family through in killing joker, this maiming better be worth the hype.

I'd rather not have every major comics arc have to kill or maim someone. It's tiresome and depressing.

I'm interested to see where this is going. When we first met Harper Row in issue 7, she already seemed familiar with Batman and vice versa. So I hope this issue covers THAT part of her story (how she met Batman, and what prompted his rather dismissive attitude towards her).

Where are her percings? Maybe she took them out because of the occasion?

Well, there was that whole psychological torture and near death by stabbing thing that happened to Batman over the course of two and a half issues, but other than that I suppose no one. Well, the guy with all the knives sticking out of him in the first issue. And the death by poison of the Court themselves, and....... Well, you probably just meant important characters.
