Default Gillen, Land Confirmed As New "Invincible Iron Man" Creative Team

Kieron Gillen and Greg Land have been confirmed as the new creative team on "Invincible Iron Man" when the Marvel NOW! relaunch hits in November, with the writer discussing his plans for the armored Avenger.

First five issues are done-in-ones? Now that's a bold move.

Also, I think Land won't be so bad so long as everyone on every panel stays in armor.

    Additionally, $3.99 price tag confirmed.

Is the first one Pepper Potts? Also he was at least was kind enough to change the hairstyle and the slope of the nose. Both are subtle differences but they're there.

About the new armor. It definitely looks like a step back from Bleeding Edge. The new Ultimate Armor looks much better, imo.

My prediction is confirmed, at least partially, Iron Man loses his adjective. Will Thor and Hulk follow suit?

Both daunting hurdles separately but together? Yeah. I can see that.

I'm really excited for this. I thought Fraction's run was getting a bit boring and I'm eager for Gillen to give us 5 (5!!!) one and done issues to start off with. He wants to have more action which is what this hero should be about. He's a guy in a suit...then let's see what they can do!

All this sounds really good. Even with Land drawing, I can't imagine this being bad at all.

I read the more detailed interview over at Newsarama. http://www.newsarama.com/comics/iron...d-details.html

Needless to say, it actually sounds....boring. I've always felt Iron Man needs an extremely clear direction, a mission, or a set task. The idea of exploring morality and relationships may work for characters like Daredevil or the X-Men, however Stark just doesn't seem to fit that bill. That + $3.99 = No go for me.

I'm really pissed off that Land.Gillen are off the X.

But here's to a some interesting IM stories centering around Sasha Hammer. Fraction left a full table for the new team to sample around and get fat off like a Sizzler saladbar.

Anyone find the existing image of Iron Man that Land traced and altered for this cover? I'm sure it exists.

I feel like when you have to assure fans that your artist isn't going to suck, it means he will probably suck (but not that bad).

It's a shame. I could really get behind a Gillen-Iron Man, but I'm not paying 3.99 for Greg Land.
