I enjoyed it, although Johns only wrote the Avengers part of that crossover. It should really be seen as part of Dan Jurgens's larger Thor arc.

Totally worth it. Just re-read it recently from the Gods On Earth trade, and it's terrific. Jurgens-Grell-Johns, with Alan Davis art throughout.
