    Default Continuity questions...

Does captain america 15, marvel girl #1 and avenging spiderman 9 take place after AvX? It puzzles me why marvel would release a post avx title so suddenly if they do.

The only reason I brought up captain america was the way he mentions complaints the public had and one of them was, "superheroes fighting each other." AvX reference? You tell me. I haven't been keeping up with the story so correct me if I'm wrong.

I wish marvel would just put something above the recap page like "this story takes place before the events of blah blah." It doesn't make any sense.

    Thanks.

By Marvel Girl, do you mean Captain Marvel? If so, yes, it and Avenging Spider-Man take place after Avengers vs. X-Men.

Captain America might be, but it's hard to say.

Captain Marvel, Avenging Spider-Man, and Daredevil are all confirmed to be taking place after AvX right now. And if the Daily Bugle's at the beginning of every issue are canon (not sure) then all of Wacker's book's are after AvX because they all reference each other.

Captain America probably isn't though. That reference is most likely just in regards to the way the media has been looking at heroes recently. They've started to mis-trust them more often because of Fear Itself and the H.A.M.M.E.R. incident. The last couple arcs of Captain America, as well as the pre-AvX arcs of Avengers, New Avengers, and their Annuals all center around this story.

The last thing I worry about on my recap pages is canon.

That's my biggest beef with Marvel. Their continuity is too hard to follow because Marvel doesn't care to follow continuity. A shared universe is more fun to read when you know what you're reading takes place at.

I couldn't agree more. I enjoy what I'm reading when everything is directly connected in a clear cut way. I wish marvel would make it easier for the fans who dish out so much money every month. Continuity is a huge issue and should be addressed accordingly.

Joe: Oops. I typed marvel girl...I meant captain marvel.

Cap could be referring to Civil War?
"John Stewart. LAME! ...this guy having a ring is like giving the batmobile to a blind old woman with her left leg in a cast."

"Pym biting Blobs head off seems like something that would have happened when i was ten years old and playing with action figures."

"i always assumed that [the blob] had the same powers as his 616 counterpart because, if simply being a huge fat guy was enough to be considered a mutant then there sure are a lot of mutants in 'real life'. "
