I dropped the title several issues ago, just wasn't doing anything for me. I've never been a fan of Blake, kinda glad to hear he's gone honestly.

There has been nothing to suggest Thor will use any 'secret identity' from now on. His original "separation" was done back at the beginning of Simonson's run, when Odin pulled the "mortal disguise" spell which had provided Blake out of Mjolnir to use in BRB's Stormbringer as the basis for the spell switching BRB between his superheroic and unmodified alien forms. Blake being reinvented as a character at the beginning of JMS' run was a decision on JMS' part that he never troubled to explain, and...was always problematic, because he was handling Blake as a genuinely separate human character that he'd never been before. Push on back to the '60s and '70s, and Blake is only ever a spell form masking Thor's Asgardian form, not a separate or pre-existing human. So that part ended up being a bit of a mess.

Probably. Odds are on some sort of tie back to the annual (?) story used to fill out the Ages of Thunder trade. Which was a terrific little offbeat take on the whole idea of Marvel's Asgardians. I still like its rework of the 1968 "casting out" scene from Thor #159.
    Mostly moved on to fanfiction.net...

Its not 100% explained. Thor 'died' but he didn't really die so IDK and I don't know why Blake didn't 'die' with him.

Only problem with that is as Hela had her realm there either there is HUGE continuity mistake (with title that was running at same time) or it is not in continuity. I would prefer latter, but not sure what is editorial decision on that one. Anyways, from posts here and reviews I kinda dread reading this when I can finally read it from digital comics. Only good thing for me from all the posts so far is that Amora still alive.

It's pretty obvious to me this was Odin's backup plan in case Thor did have to die. The prophecy said Odin's son had to die. Okay the god died. The prophecy didn't say anything about the human side of Thor. Note that it was Blake who retained the hammer.

Yes it was. I wasn't at all confused.
Support titles that need supporting. Quit buying, reading and complaining about comics you don't enjoy.

This. I was very pleased with Fraction using the art to hint at this plot point back when the Enchantress created the god from Blake's body, where the tree-like form was obviously a reference to the World Tree and thus Skurge trapped in it as was shown in Fraction's previous work.

As I stated back when Bendis slipped a small visual reference to Xavier being coerced by Pietro/Magneto/Wanda in House of M #1, I think it is important that careful fans note these visual Easter eggs in comics so that we make it clear to creators we appreciate their efforts to make comics more than something to just rapidly flip pages through.

I think I'm soooo happy to have sat this one out. Now let's hope Fraction doesn't screw up with Gillen, AKA, the guy who keeps him relevant.

I'm happy with Fraction's run on Thor given the circumstances of the artists he had to work with. I think Fraction's choice of characters and arcs worked very well with artwork that was far different from what one found in say Jurgens run on Thor. I think Fraction succeeded in telling stories that had not been told before.

With Esad Ribic as the new artist, this calls for a different style of story, and Jason Aaron is probably as good as any given his recent work on Hulk.

Are you kidding? but if each of the stories that Fraction has done since he began his run , have been poorly developed, there has been no time for character development and the conclusion of the stories has been shoddy and absurd using the characters in a bad way and totally forced with no explanation of anything, especially this last story with the Enchantress, nothing made sense, he has totally destroyed the character after what other writers had done with her in last years and everything has been totally useless, leaving the character as if she was nothing.
