Well considering it had 387 variant covers give or take and it was the 100th issue its not that surprising.

As to Marvel its got to be concerning to those in charge that you have to go all the way to #24 to find a non event / event tie in book. New 52, I mean Marvel Now, can't happen soon enough for them I imagine.

Highest ratings for a cable tv drama in cable history + 100th issue+ Multiple variant covers=High selling comic.

The biggest way for comic companies to inflate pre orders is to offer variant covers. Marvel does it, DC does it and now Image does it with their best selling title. It's a great entertaining comic so hopefully some of those readers will stay on for the following issues.

I'm enjoying A vs X quite a bit I'm still taken back that this series hasn't enticed more to pick up the main Avengers book or a X-Title or 2...

Seems the core Marvel titles are pretty consistent with sales while most of the New 52 keep dropping lower and lower. Really curious to see how fans react to Marvel Now.

Another month, another first place finish for Uncanny X-Men being the top Marvel non-event book.

So how does cancelling it to make room for Bendis All-Old X-Men make sense again?

I know that I keep dropping DC books to make room for the Marvel now books I am going to jump onto. As a longtime DC fan I dislike a majority of the new 52. In fact I realized the other day that the new 52 made me a Marvel guy as I now have more Marvel books on my pull than DC books. I am probably in the minority but I know that Marvel is continuing to get a sales bump from my wallet.

Same here, I tried over 30 plus books of the New 52, I'm now down to 4 of their titles and over 15 Marvel titles. I try to read a little of everything but DC makes it hard as most of their titles don't appeal to me.

I'm the opposite. Going around 20+ strong for DC. Down to 5 or 6 Marvel. Most of which are getting axed for the higher priced Marvel Now. No thanks. I'll stick with my X-Factor and that's it for Marvel.

Nice to see that Action Comics is in the top ten. (my little favorite title)

And Walking Dead first !! Good news, good news.

And I'm the exact opposite. I was a 25+ year Marvel zombie who regularly pulled down 20 Marvel titles or more a month and I've got runs of over 400 issues of Uncanny X-men and several hundred issue runs of many other Marvel titles to show it.

New 52 came for me at just the right time to stay in comics. I'd become seriously disenchanted with Marvel the last few years and my pull list had shrunk via cancellation and an unwillingness to pay $3.99 two times a month. I was very very close to dropping comics altogether and then New 52 happened. Now I'm hooked on about 15 DC titles that I'd never tried before and loving them. Whereas my only Marvel purchases this year are the main AvX event issues (no tie ins or the Vs stuff).

After reading comics for over 20 years I find myself more and more disenchanted by the Big 2. Sure I still enjoy great Marvel titles like Amazing Spider-Man, Uncanny X-Men, Daredevil, Punisher, Fantastic Four & Wolverine & The X-Men. DC titles like Batman, Wonder Woman & Flash. But I feel like the same stories are just being recycled and repackaged in diffrent ways, I find myself as I get older finding more pleasure in reading Fables, Saga, Walking Dead, Morning Glories, Invincible and Johnathan Hickman's Image stuff.

I really wanted to like the New 52 and tried 30 or so titles that sounded interesting a year later and I'm down to 4 titles (Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash & Aquaman) after trying out most of those titles I quickly discovered a lot of the New 52 wasn't new at all it was just the same recycled repackaged stories. If Marvel Now is more of the same, I think I may just stick to comics by Image and Vertigo and say goodbye to comics from the Big 2.

It really hurts to see UXM at the top of the Marvel on-goings. It just shows me that no matter how well an x-men book does, Marvel doesn't care enough about them.

But they are relaunching the title with their highest profile writer...

How do you figure? The core Marvel titles are in the midst of an Event combining their 2 best selling franchises . . .

Before AvX launched Marvel's just relaunched titles like Uncanny X-Men & Wolverine & the X-Men were dropping faster in mere months than DC's 52 have fallen after a nearly a full year out.
