Considering the guy had total molecular manipulation... no. He punked the Molecule Man at his own game. He was effectively invincible. Disintegrate him and he'd reform about 10 seconds later. Then there is the fact that he can blow up planets.

His powers are extremely poorly defined. But no. He might be able to take out one or two but the remaining ones would just become stronger. He's strong but the Phoenix is beyond him.

The thing with Emma Frost was PIS. The writer, Bendis IIRC, conveniently forgot that Sentry, you know, has hypersonic reflexes and speed. He's casually caught a sniper rifle bullet before. Travelled to the sun in a matter of minutes. Emma should have been a spray of red before she even realised she was in a fight. None of the P5 have displayed any significant level of super speed to date.

Marvel writers don't know how to write characters who have super speed correctly. Well, the likes of Giffen and DnA do.

Blowing up solar systems (twice) with just a fraction of the Phoenix force kind of put them above Sentry.

The P5? Sure, they've boosted their powers and have done interesting tech upgrades/gardening on earth, but I don't think any of them are all-out Phoenix-y. If they were, do you think any of them could be knocked out to the point that they loose their Phoenix powers?

Rachel or Jean at full-phoenix Potential? No, though I suspect he would be able to put up a better fight than Thor.

I don't think Sentry would have made any difference. Remember Thor beat his ass and killed him. Unfortunately Marvel is disgracefully treating Thor like trash throughout this stupid storyline. Phoenix Five > Thor > Sentry.

And the correct answer is clearly "Whatever the writers feel like today". It would vary depending on the Sentry's purpose in the story.

    This is the correct answer.

Wasn't that Thor after being empowered by the norn stones? I don't think Thor could have done it without that...

Get with the program its good they killed him, Jenkins had some good ideas but Bendis had nothing, he wrote like a writer that was highly medicated or wrote like a teenage drunk scribbling something on the back of a beer mat. Sentry and his alter ego personalities, Bob and the Void were wrote completely inconsistent, his power set was inconsistent, his strengths were inconsistent, his weakness was inconsistent constantly in flux and changing from week to week. The only thing they would finally do with the train wreck of a character was killing him off and even then we couldn't even see a decent battle. The history of Sentry in 616 is a history of dumbass writing which constantly offended Marvel continuity

Sentry's entire life was PIS, worse than Deadpool, worse than Superboy Primes, worse than Deathstroke. He would be wrote as a MarySueGod character and randomly pull new powers out of his ass to win the day and because the writer Bendis had a brain filled with as many holes as swiss cheese he would completely forget what he wrote the Sentry doing last month only to have him next month get beat around by some JohnnyStorm or meta-human level dude because...well because Bendis was a disaster for keeping characters and power levels consistent even in his own book....Bendis thought Thor and Ares were the same power level, he also thought MoleculeMan should have problems fighting Daken (a wolverine clone) and problems with a missile fired from a Shield airplane.....Bendis could write good single books with street heroes but in the big team books with magic and superpowers Bendis was very weak and either was too drunk to write a good story or too uneducated on characters back stories so barely understood any of the characters he wrote in team books. Sentry's entire life is one of PIS just like when Spidey took outt Firelord. I thank Jenkins for finally putting the nail in that coffin, no way is Bendis ever bringing that disaster of a super man clone back, firstly Bendis wrote him like someone on a few beers addicted to prescription meds and secondly if he does bring him back he will have to face the wrath of Xmen fans unwilling to accept the 'I boned Rogue' crap. Good on Jenkins for putting the nails into Sentry's coffin.

Yes, because the one thing that could really push AvX over the top to being a true classic, is Sentry. Really?

Anything with The Sentry in it is automatically a million exploding suns better than the same story without the Sentry.
