I like this creative team for this book. I'm interested to hear more about Remender's take, and what he has planned for this book. Also who he plans on using for villains.
This is the first announcment from Marvel Now that intrigues me. I like the creative team, would have to see the solicits first. Probably will pass if its $3.99 though.
romita jr for cap. cant get any worse than that, atleast for the art department..
just heads up to those who would stick around and endure this run. be prepared to see the following... close up of a fist hitting a face (repeat atleast 100x during the tenure), fugly "easter island heads"-looking people, wierd body proportions, straight lines (millions of them), horrible art...and for those who start to point these obvious stuff, be prepared for the nut-huggers' defense as you would probably hear how its the colorist/inkers fault why JRjr is underperforming.. :)
resident hero
Whaaat? JRjr is going to draw Winter Soldier!?! But the art has been great so far! Too bad.
Well, to be technical, Angel's body is alive though Warren Worthington is dead. Remender pretty much said that in his interviews.
He's dead. Warren is dead. I know where he's ending up, I know what we're doing with him for the next year. Our intention right now is that Warren died. His soul died, his mind died, he died. But that Life Seed stuck in his gut regenerated something. It took the husk that was there, of Archangel, and it regenerated something else. It took that dead body and made this new body. What is the body, and who's the person inside? It's not Warren Worthington. It's not as simple as amnesia. That's a different person.
I am Apocalypse! Look upon the future and tremble!
I am as far beyond Mutants as they are beyond you. I am eternal.
Evil? I am not malevolent, I simply am!
Ok so 1.5-2 + one of the Ant Men that I forgot about.
The rest of his kills are alternate reality characters of F-list characters.
Plus, once again, he has been writing books where death shouldn't be a surprise. Venom is not exactly Captain America (hell, you can even see that in the recent Secret Avengers).
Me: Please Marvel, give some spotlight to your 21th century creations instead of killing them every month.
Marvel: Avengers Arena, lol!
Classy as always, Marvel.
People Remender has killed (In the 616 universe, as far as I'm aware, he hasn't ever killed anyone in real life).
Fantomex
Jamie Braddock
Eric O'Grady (who seems to be slightly resurrected, but probably just a robot pretending to be him)
Gateway
AoA Iceman (he killed him in the 616 so I'm counting him)
John Steele
Warren Worthington III (see above)
The Punisher (so he brought him back to life? So what? Alright, I'll not count this one either)
Ultimaton
A whole bunch of bad-guys and others in Venom, but I don't follow Venom so I can't give an exact list.
And a whole load of other AoA characters we don't really care about and happened in that universe so I'll ignore them.
I'm quite amused at the 5 pages in this thread that had posters saying variations of "It's Cap not Winter Soldier" haha funny.
I'm curious I'll admit..Bru's run has been so damn stellar that Remender has quite the shoes to fill. Guess it's a matter of trying to remain optimistic about Jr...As long as the pirate boots design stay away as in Uncanny it's all good.
I love all of Cap's supporting class but I'm pretty annoyed at people already getting angry at Remender for killing them. If he does, good. He's never killed anyway without it being extremely emotional and important to the story. Bring on the Remender.
Hey, Thanos, baby!
