Default Ian Edginton Vamps Up "National Comics: Looker"

In the latest one-shot reinventing a DC character for the New 52, Ian Edginton takes former Outsider Looker to her vampiric supermodel heights in a story that's part business, part murder.

Won't buy this due to Miller and because the concept isn't so interesting, but I'd love to see Edington do something for DC. He's as close to Ellis as we'd get, I suspect.

I wonder if Miller drew any panels while he was eating at Chic-Fil-A yesterday.

And I bet you never said "no" to a donut. What's your point?

I don't think I've ever even heard of this artist before...

Suffers from diarrhea of the mouth. Wouldn't be so bad if he didn't have such controversial views.

He used to be a bit bigger. He did a number of fill ins on JLA back when it was a big title for DC, under Waid I believe. He made some homophobic comments on the DC message boards, and made them quite insistently and rabidly even after DC editorial told him in no uncertain terms that he would face consequences if he didn't stop.

Well, he didn't, and he did face consequences, blacklisted from the company for a decade. He tried, unsuccessfully, to start his own company, and do things here and there, but none of them worked out. He recently came back to DC on the DC Universe Online tie in comic book, and I understand will be getting more work at DC.

It's not a big deal, but I'm not going to use my money to support his work personally. It's a shame because he's actually a very talented artist.

Is this true? Ugh that sucks. I used to like his art too. I wish the writer had read up on Emily, It's easy enough to do. She had a unique personality.. darling.

Right, got it. I looked him up and don't recognize his art at all.

I find it interesting that DC would bring him back from being blacklisted with all their talk of tolerance and making their comics more representative of the real world...

I accidentally started a large argument about Miller the other day!
    http://forums.comicbookresources.com...-Comics-Looker

There's a lot detailed in that thread about what he said about gay people and muslims. I wish we had some preview art to see if this looked good, because I like the whole socialite can't be seen in photographs idea that Edginton mentioned.

I would buy this if Miller wasn't attached. I actually really like his art but I cannot personally bring myself to support someone like him.
