well, i honestly how can anyone make a continuity out of USM and SM after this. this cannot happen in any linear time progression:)
    the preview is nice though.

It looks as if it all takes place after DWF, but if that is true, then it is kinda spoilery with Fury back in charge and Flumm no where to be seen. Bendis did promise by the end we would know exactly where it fits.

I just kinda figured that it took place sometime before Fury got the boot, since Cap is nowhere to be found and Miles said in one of the more recent issues of Spider-Man that he's only been Spider-Man about a week. So far, I've beeb operating under the educated guess that USM doesn't catch up to the events of the other books until DWF. I feel like Spider-Men takes place between USM #12 and #13 and sometime before Fury went off-grid.

    WHEN DOES THIS HAPPEN!?

It MUST be after the latest USM issue, but the presence of Fury has thrown that completely out.

Goddam Bendis bubbles annoy the hell out of me. It's his BIGGEST flaw that he blatantly disregards continuity like this. THis would be a perfect story for me if he didn't do this.

Cool preview, but I think we should just wait until the mini series is over and after DWF before we can really argue when this takes place. In the preview it shows spoilers:
May and Gwen know Miles. In USM #13 he just met them.
    end of spoilers
Pull: All-New XMen, Avengers, New Avengers, Uncanny Avengers, Captain America, Indestructible Hulk, Avenging SpiderMan, Superior SpiderMan, Uncanny XMen, Chew, UC:Ultimates, UC:SpiderMan, UC:XMen.

Even then it seems to fit oddly into continuity since it seems that by the end of DWF Miles will (finally) have web shooters yet in issue 2 he was questioning Peter about his webshooters and doesn't seem to have any of his own. I understand that Bendis doesn't want to spoil future events in Ultimate Spider-Man but it's kinda sad when the guy who's writing both books can't even get his own continuity right.

Still can't wait to read this issue though.
Holding out for a Peter/Miles team up.

Now, while I think their reaction is understandable, can you imagine if that was their Peter who for some reason was older? You just got back from being dead and they welcome you like that.

Anyway, right now this series doesn't live up to my expectations so this issue will probably make it or break it.

Gwen and Aunt May, never stop being appropriately awesome. This looks so exciting.

Gwen was all kind of awesome in that preview, from the beating on 'fake Peter' to how she caught Aunt May at the end.

For the first cross-over between the main Marvel universe and the Ultimate universe, this story is rather low-key, and I must say that I like it this way! Although Stark's dialog almost makes me think that this could be the prelude to something bigger, but I'm probably imagining too much stuff.

As for when all of this happens in relation to the other titles, it's obviously after Divided We Fall, and I'm going to wait on the conclusion of both stories to try and make a better fit. And even if Bendis turns out to only adhere to a loose definition of continuity, I don't think it will bother me.

Jesus God! When does this happen? Miles doesn't have his webs, so it can't be post divided we fall, but then there's that cryptic "Uncle Aaron? But you're..." and the fact that May and Gwen seem to know Miles... I'm guessing Miles doesn't get the webs for a while yet then otherwise this has basically no place in continuity to hide in... Who said he gets his webs in DWF? As a matter of fact, who said he gets webs?

Yeah, for all we know, Cap is holding the webs hostage as some kind of "rite of passage" (assuming May lets him have them at all by her choice) for Miles.

Aunt May's blackout, that was predictable. Boy, I just can't wait to read the rest!!! I hope we will see Peter talking for a while with Aunt May and Gwen before SHIELD comes to take Peter back and stuff. But mainly, I hope we'll see Mary Jane in this issue as they promised us.

Why does Marvel let Bendis constantly get away with the continuity errors? It's like he's Tom Cruise and everyone is terrified of correcting him.
