Yes why should a character who is established to use jokes to hide his true feelings, being riddled with stress and guilt and confirmed to not be sleeping act like he is on the verge of a break down, this is clearly the writers fault and not a lack of reading comprehension of your own

I just read over the first 20 issues of New Avengers, volume 1...and looking back on it, it was a pretty fun read. A lot of very cool stuff with the inclusion of Sentry, the story of Spider-Woman, the House of M follow-up...very cool stuff.

I know Iron Man jokes it's another armor for him. The guilt and stress, know that too. I've read enough Iron Man to get the way he responds to bad situations, thank you very much.

You can pull all of that off with much better dialog.

Don't have a link, but it was in an interview right here on CBR. Also Namor tried to drown innocent people before with the P5 power. So it's nothing he hasn't done before.

    Exactly. This is Namor's M.O.

You just described Spider-Man, not Iron Man.

Tony was a dick in that scene. The part where he tells Xavier to turn off Scott's brain so they can deal with Doctor Doom is insanely hypocritical. Good lord. I hate the Illuminati so much.

Emma made it pretty clear in AvX 10 that they are not 100% in control of their actions. Colossus too, to a lesser degree: "LOOK SIS I GAVE THESE WHALES CRAB LEGS LOL!!! DO U LIEK IT?!"

They both do it, hell why do you think they get along so well together

Tony was a dick in that scene.
Tony is usually a dick, just because he is more of one dosen't mean its bad characterization given they flat out say he hasn't slept, and human beings tend to get cranky with out sleep

The part where he tells Xavier to turn off Scott's brain so they can deal with Doctor Doom is insanely hypocritical.
i don't think he was serious but even then Tony can be a hypocrite under most situations

Really liked this, especially Stark being a huge ass to everyone.

This looks really good, actually. I dig.

Didn't pick up #28 last month (first time ever not picking up a New Avengers issue), but I really want this. Looks like I'll be getting both.
Avengers, Daredevil, Fantastic Four, FF, Hawkeye, New Avengers
Animal Man, Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Justice League
    Saga, Thief of Thieves.

The moment Thing was locked up in hell, I would have presumed the FF would have gotten involved at least to free him. But I guess marvel is trying to keep this strickly Avengers and X-Men... which is understandable.

I presume at this point the FF wouldn't show up, unless maybe Steve decides to organize the entire hero community in the 11th hour to try and bum rush Scott and Emma. But if we presume by that point the Avengers and X-Men will be working together, that's already so many heroes the FF may not be needed as they're already so many warm bodies available.

You notice Strange is keeping quiet and staying out of it for the most part. And I like that one of the first things he did was cast a "calm the f--- down" spell, though Tony stomped on Prof X's nerves on the very next page, so it must not have worked

Be honest guys, without Tony Stark (yes Tony Snark) the Illuminati would be a boring team.

Tony thinks out crazy ideas when no one would even dare to do it (probably except Namor) as a counter to more conservative solutions even though at the end, Stark's moral code will come back to restrain him from doing the crazy ideas.

Yeah, you need renegades to bake in new ideas or as little as starting out conversations.
