I know it's the Avengers book, but this is so biased. They really don't question anything THEY have done so far, or any of the consequences of their plans. I miss AvX 6's Black Panther.

Man, I have been so looking forward to this issue once I saw it in the previews. The reuniting of the Illuminati. I love the team and the concept. Enjoyed the dialogue and Deodato's art is on point per usual. Glad to see the Infinity Gems were brought up. Using them against the Phoenix force would probably do more bad than good. So that's good. Really, really looking forward to this!

The same Black Panther who got his country trash by a Phoenix powered Namor....yeah, I don't think he'll think this through.

At least within the preview, it shown that these guys are starting to get the lesson of "Bad to Worse" from their actions learned.

It would be highly OOC for Namor to use the gem, given all the times he didn't use it in the past, in really desperate situations for Atlantis.

That was Namor's job on the Illuminati. To question and point out their crap.

    Yeah, probably not.

That's true. Although now they probalby would just ignore him and say "that's the phoenix talking".

He wants Namor back after what he did? And how exactly does he think even if Namor suddenly agrees with them he will be able to influence PF Scott?

Caps too trusting/giving benefit of doubt on namor and an idiot

This takes place after AvX#9 just after the little break out form limbo it appears. I thing I'll say this is that I'm glad they wont be using the infinity gems. Kudos R.Richards it seems you've learned a few things since Future F and SI

That's the thing though. I read an interview with Gillien and he said they Phoenix 5 know exactly what they are doing. Namor is totally responsible for drowning Wakandans and destrying there city. They know what they're doing.

Yeah, but what I meant was that the rest of the Illuminati don't think that.

Also, I don't think any Wakandans drowned, but the city was destroyed, and yeah, that was all Namor.

But if this' really after Wakanda Cap is ready to forget and forgive already? I guess those weren't american citizen after all.

If that's the case, that's not the Steve Rogers I enjoy reading, and I'm going to blame it on Bendis' bad writing and bad understanding of the characters

I have a weird sense of humor today and am seeing Namor dressed as Sarah Palin now. I'll leave you all with that image.

    This preview? Awesome.
I thoroughly enjoyed the exchanges. Thoroughly.
Really eager to read the rest.

I still feel that this whole event is slanted, and even after its become perfectly clear of the "corrupting aspect" of the Phoenix Force, the continuous "SCOTT is NUTS" stuff is wearing a little thin.
Yes, yes, yes we know that Scott's hyper defensive and extreme behavior of late has been...well..extreme. But post Phoenix Possession? Its the OTHER hosts that are going off the rails and it should be, at the very least, SPECULATED that something wrong is happening to the hosts, since they've gotten a little trigger/kill happy.
    C'mon.

Either way, this dialogue is sensational.

I've been excited for this since the solicit. I can't wait to hear Reed's input.
